I needed a quiet, compact, and pretty powerful PC. That always costs more than anyone ever thinks is reasonable. But I ventured forward anywho. Out of the gate, I had to replace the fans with some Noctua. The originals were obnoxious. I understand that these are designed for a server kind of situation but, they would work for other environments if there were offerings of quieter versions. I don't know why it doesn't exist. I run a ~110w CPU, overclocked, with a slim, single-slot GPU, in a 1U case. It's almost always dead silent at about two feet from my ear and mounted under the desk. There's a fish tank sound that takes about 30 seconds to dissipate, but then - SILENCE. It feels durable enough, but the Installation was a bit concerning. The hoses leave the CPU sink at a 90 degree elbow and land right where the CPU bracket-screws do. You end up having to bend the hoses over or around the screw. I didn't feel good about putting the pressure on the elbow to go around the screws and thought the hoses would get pinched no matter what I did so, I bent the hoses over top of the screws and crammed the lid on the case. It worked but, unsettling to install. On a side note, the hoses were a little long for my case and my be too short for others. It's just an observation. I would post a picture of all of this but, I am unwilling to open up that can of worms. After the $80 AIO, the $50's of replacement fans, and risk of breakage with some serious cramming, it has been worth it for me. I really do like this. I just can't recommend it for everyone - thus the three stars. I work with my hands, I have built many computers, and feel pretty confident about working with this stuff - but I was still worried about the assembly here. This cooler was perfect and fit my 5900x fine. Temps were a little high but when I swapped to a 5600x it was working fine. Needed to buy a fan controller but otherwise it's pretty quiet.
