Easy to use. My cat had recently developed an huge appetite & was constantly crying for food. Also drinking & urinating in much larger than normal amounts. Tested his urine & got high readings for sugar in his urine. Took to the vet & they verified that he’s newly diabetic & will need treatment. We caught it early as vet said no ketones yet in his urine. This is an excellent product if your pet is developing symptoms of excessive hunger, thirst & urination which can be indicative of diabetes. Always follow up on home testing with a vet visit if strips show positive for glucose in urine.

I LOVE these strips. Our dog has recently been diagnosed as diabetic. My husband and I are also diabetic, so we know how important it is to keep the blood sugar stable. These strips are a great and worthwhile investment! We are giving our dog insulin and these strips help us see the effect that different types of food and treats have on him. At this time I am using at least 2 -3 a day. It is so easy to use by putting it in the urine stream and in less than a minute I know his sugar level range. I find them quick and accurate enough to be confident that the insulin dose is working and to feel confident with the food or treats we are giving him.

These are little bit tricky as the Colors in the bottle don’t match the colors on the stick. But it does tell you their glucose level is higher than it should be.

Item came faster than expected. The Item packaging makes it easy to read the test results. Will purchase product again.

I have a diabetic dog and was hoping these strips would be a good way to get a reading on her glucose. But when it arrived and I read the box, I realized that it was a more general test strip and not specific. I did not open it because it would not have worked for what I needed. I returned the item.

Works great! Wish they had bulk / larger packages or quantity discount. I think those that are having issues may not be checking at the best times. Also, keep in mind that it takes a little longer for the glucose in blood to show up in urine. Best times to check - first thing in morning, then late afternoon before 2nd meal and 3rd check before bed. Our dog Nico is doing great! Able to monitor how much insulin to give him easily! So much simpler than getting a blood sample.

My dog is diabetic; these strips come in handy for approximating his blood sugar.

Not accurate for me – all 10 strips came back negative both days and blood test a day later showed definite positive. The strips were not just negative, they showed no reactive change at all. The strips are easy enough- I was able to collect the samples including one directly from him when he did not suspect I was there at the litter box. As this can be very difficult to time, it’s important to get nonabsorbent litter (definitely for me to get the one that’s like sand, not pellets so I knew he would use it) and a spare litterbox. With two cats I had to isolate and keep him in the room with me at night until he urinated. I carefully took the samples, timed exactly as instructed, and got incorrect readings all 10 times over 2 days. If he becomes more than borderline I will again use the Freestyle Libre disc attached between his shoulder blades like I did my last diabetic cat so I can take readings all day long if necessary, vet can log in and tell me to adjust and never have to prick! THAT was a godsend! Sorry to say these did nothing to help and misdiagnosing can have severe consequences.

This was a total waste of my money and time. They do not work. I thought it was me so I gave them to a friend of mine who has had a diabetic dog for 18 months , according to your test he is cured....it is a miracle! Seriously Amazon should remove them from their listings as they are not fit for purpose and do not do the job they are designed to do
