Easy to use
I received this a few days ago and I've already used it twice. Makes great poached eggs! I used it in a pan on the stove. The directions call for 4-5 minutes in simmering water, but I found it took about 8 minutes in a low boil, even with the cover on. But after 8 minutes the eggs were excellent with a runny yolk and firm whites. I put butter in the cups before adding the egg and they came right out. This gadget will get a lot of use at my house!

Only makes eggs with solid yokes
Have yet to find a way to make a poached egg without a solid yoke.

Easy to use microwave poacher.
Brilliant Microwave egg poacher. Best used in 30 second bursts, with 20 seconds soak time in between: used a 900 watt microwave on full power.4 bursts of 30 seconds will cook 4 large eggs to perfection (without the need to prick the yoke).Follow the instructions, but be careful when using large eggs, as once it tips and egg white flows it keeps flowing, it doesn't stop like water when it's level again.Crack the eggs into the poacher as close as possible to, if not, inside the microwave to avoid spillage.

Does the Job
Easy to use, I have not used it in the microwave but in a shallow covered saucepan of water. Easy to use, easy to clean and a bargain.

Probably the best egg poacher in the whole world for less than 3 quid
I spent many years trawling the far corners of the world for an affordable, dynamic, efficient and breathtaking way to poach my eggs. My search is now at an end. I would have had this device gold-dipped but the plastic would melt.This device won't cure cancer or stop you from getting swine flu but I am convinced it will do wonders for your sex life and bring you closer to God. BUY IT NOW.

The cups don't sit snugly in the holder - can easily sit off centre and so not level
Cheap and unfortunately not up to the job. Cups too small to hold a whole egg - the whites overspilled into the water and it then the water boiled up the sides of the pan and into the egg cups. The cups don't sit snugly in the holder - can easily sit off centre and so not level, again seeing egg white spill out. Tried using it on two occasions. Now thrown it away.
