EPDM Tri-Clamp Gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30 deg F and 300 deg F. EPDM is a good choice for Tri-Clamp Gaskets when an economical solution for weather and chemical impervious seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resilience against animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.Storing EPDM Gaskets:- Shelf Life: 10 Years from cure date- Store in original packaging in clean and dry warehouse- Do not expose to direct sunlight- Keep more than 6' away from electric motors- Maintain temperature between 65 deg F and 85 deg FEPDM Gasket Standards Compliance:- CFR 21, 177.2600- U.S. Pharmacopeia Class VI Certification- USDA Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points- Cytotoxicity Criteria- USDA and 3A Standards- ASME-BPE Standards for Type I and Type II- ADI Free (Animal Derived Ingredient Free)- Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP)EPDM Tri-Clamp Gasket Features:- Color Code: three green dots- -30 deg F to 300 deg F Temperature Range- Acceptable for low pressure steam applications- Peroxide cured
