But it is thick enuf gel to pad the hands and it is made very well. I bought this to add padding to both my walker and forearm crutch so I didn't have to buy 2 different paddings (plus this one was rated much better than ANY I could find for walkers or even underarm crutches). Used with the walker, the side attachment doesn’t get attached, but I don’t mind.
