He loves this collection. It is not so much that it is unique from the monthly readers; instead, this is just a beautiful presentation and makes a nice gift for someone that likes reading daily scriptures. I guess they are often found in restaurants, coffee chops etc.. in the North Eastern US . (According to here-say) Thankfully these have been bound together in book form so those of us who never knew of them can have the opportunity to now spend some truly high quality devotional time with the Creator. I personally like simple, straightforward, messages that get to the heart of the matter being discussed. The daily readings in this book provide just that! It's simple, you are given a passage of scripture to read, then, you have a story from somebody's modern life experience, and a prayer to follow.
