I just had extractions and my temp dentures are in my mouth. My gums are no longer swollen so the temps were moving around like crazy and the slippage was unreal. I went to YouTube to see what I can buy to hold these in place and I ran across this product when it arrived I hurry up and tried it and almost instantly..... it felt like the teeth are real coming out of my gums!! After not eating solid food for over two weeks I finally thought to myself "I can eat something solid"!! The first thing I ate were lemon pepper wings and I mean they didn't move at all... I said "Well Damn" out loud because I just couldn't believe how well this product worked! If you are new to the Denture gang awaiting your implants or long term denture wearing.... you may want to use this.... you will not regret it!

I purchased the Avistar denture adhesive due to the glowing reviews I found on Amazon.com. Only a few folks had given Avistar a 1 star rating. People were saying they got all day adhesion with Avistar. Boy, was I disappointed. Not only because I purchased 5 tubes of this stuff but because Avistar denture adhesive failed miserably. I first used Avistar as soon as I received it, about two hours before lunch. I have only an upper partial, however there are no teeth to hook onto. So I rely totally on the adhesive to hold the partial in place. About half way through a sandwich, the partial came completely loose and I had to take it out. Strike one. After lunch, I installed the adhesive and replaced the partial. It felt secure and 4 hours after reinstalling the partial, I had dinner. Same outcome. Strike two. Next morning I decided to install the partial after breakfast and see what happened at lunch. Again the partial came loose. Strike 3, I am done with Avistar. Time to go back to Fixodent ULTRA. Last night, I went out to a banquet to have dinner. About 4:00 pm I installed my partial using the Fixodent Ultra. Dinner was at 7:00 pm. We had a nice thick cut of roast beef. Everything went well. Not a single problem. Got home about 10:00 pm and my partial was still secure. Had a great night. NO EMBARRASSMENT. Felt great. and Happy how things went. I will now use Fixodent ULTRA from now on.

This best and only denture adhesive you will ever need. I love it. It is life changing to gain the confidence in knowing your dentures will not slip when speaking or eating.

The grip was as described. It was a really firm grip. I need new dentures as mine are too big. But this filled the gaps and held in like my teeth were welded to my mouth It shook loose when I tried to eat crunchy food. Then I removed the denture and spent a solid 1/2 hour scrubbing it from my mouth. It would not come off without a fight. The paste also tasted like dish soap for the first half hour. It was super tough to get out of the tube. Here's my recommendation. Get this for occasions where you really need to relax not worry about slippage. But not for every day.

I did give this product a try and I liked it and the fact it does last at least 12 hours for the uppers the lowers no, but I, did'nt think it would. NO adheasive yet stayes on my lowers. I have very little bone for the plate to adhear to anyway. I'm still disappointed in the lack of a full tube. I would show a picture, but I don't know how to transfer the picture from my phone to my computer. W.H.

This adhesive is so thick it's hard to get it out of rhe tube. The hold doesn't last more than one meal. I am personally disappointed especially for the price. Fixodent holds better.

Used it last nite. Seems to work pretty well... great seller and product...super fast shipping!

The adhesive qualities are okay but what was negative for me was the removal and disposal. It promptly plugged up my bathroom sink, which is when I stopped using it. Went back to the Fixodent MAX which I apply VERY sparingly. I suspect it has to do with the particular fit of your dentures.
