How many servings is each bag?

According to each package/bag, there are 8 servings of 2/3 cup each. Personally, I don't know anybody who only eats 2/3 cup of mashed potatoes. I also find they store well & for the convenience of instant, are very good. You can adjust the liquid called for to make them stiffer or softer as you prefer.

Those potatoes went from $16 to $20 in just a few weeks. what a ripoff! especially when i bought them at costco a year and a half ago at $8. why?

Check out Costco again. I bought mine at Costco the other day and they were $10.99 a box. It is a rip off for the seller is doubling the price! I'd rather mash my own than pay that ridiculous price!

What do you have to add to these to cook?   Just water, or milk or anything else?

water milk and a little butter.  I heat everything up in microwave rather than in steps and they turn out great.  The are the best instant mashed potatoes I have used.

Are the potatoes NON GMO?

I called the Idahoan Potato co. Honest Earth Instant Potatos Brand. They said they can't guarantee the potatos are 100% non GMO because they buy from alot of different farmers. They said they are looking into it. You can call them at : 1-800-746-7999. They told me to answer: The potatos are (NOT NON GMO). I buy them because of the following information at:  http://www.nongmoproject.org/learn-more/what-is-gmo/I buy mostly Organic fresh potatoes to cook. But these are OK for a quick substitute.
