This pomade works well overall. It provides good hold throughout the day without feeling greasy or looking shiny, which I really like. I am still dialing in the right amount to use, but even so, it has been easy to work with. A small amount goes a long way, so the container lasts a long time and offers good value compared to similar products. The scent is mild. It is not very fragrant, but it does not smell bad either, which I personally prefer. Overall, I am happy with this pomade and would recommend it if you are looking for a clean, natural-looking hold. The picture was taken about 7 hours after I put it on and had taken a shirt on and off several times disturbing the hair.

I first used the original formula of this that was white. I had issues with it leaving a big of white in my hair, it could be a little dry or crunchy feeling, and it was somewhat hard to work with a comb even when it hadn't set up yet. This new formula has fixed everything! The new formula is more of an off white or dark cream color, and while if I use too much of it there may be a bit of color left on my hair, but it is much easier to work in and get rid of any streaks. Also, if I use the proper amount I haven't had that issue at all. In terms of crunchiness, it can be a tad crunchy when using larger amounts, but I can still run my hands through my hair as a whole. This product is very easy to work through with a comb when styling, and I've had it hold through hot days when I sweat with no issues at all. I can get a strong hold even through a 2nd day if I get too lazy to shower. I will probably be buying this particular product again and again. I am very glad I gave the new formula a shot and you should too. Even if you had any issues with the old formula.

I'm very pleased with the holding ability. Unlike the original formula, this is easier to apply without having those sticky bits of clumped hair because it went on too thick.

The main purpose of a pomade is to hold your hair in place. This pomade does that extremely well. If I was eating this just on hold, it would get 5 stars easily. But I'm also eating it on scent and texture. Hold: perfect. Once you style it, it stays that way until you wash it out. It's sometimes a little hard to wash out as I've had to wash my hair twice a few times to feel like I got it all out. Scent: kind of weak. I mostly just smell something similar to beeswax and a very, very faint hint of fragrance. It doesn't smell bad, it just doesn't add a refreshing scent to your hair like other pomades, such as Suavecito. Texture: this is really the big one for me on this pomade. The consistency of this stuff is really weird. It takes a lot for it to break down so you can apply it and once it is applied, it feels really thick in your hair. It's almost like it doesn't separate evenly to allow equal distribution through your hair. It does the job, and really well, but it's an odd experience. Also, if you're not careful, it can leave clumps of pomade in your hair when you apply it. I scratched my head one day and there was just a clump of pomade under my fingernail from where it didn't break down when I applied it. Like I had just taken a glob out of the jar and placed it on top of my head. But I assure you I rubbed it through very well. If the texture wasn't as thick and tough and if it smelled better, this would be a great pomade. But as it stands, I use it as a backup to Suavecito, which is my go to.

First off, this is my favorite Pomade. The Matte Medium hold is great for an all day look. I love the smell of the Pomade as well. Not too over powering. Even though it is a Matte Pomade, it doesnt stay white on your hair like some waxes do and I have really dark hair. Another thing, I received the wrong item by mistake and John in the Customer Service department for Viking Revolution was extremely helpful and quick to make it right!! Order this stuff, you wont be disappointed

Viking Revolution had the perfect matte product and they completely ruined it. Words cannot describe how disappointed I am in them. I've used the original for the last year. The original had an excellent strong hold with the greatest matte finish I have ever seen in a hair product. It was so matte, it made my fine hair look awesome and full. And a little really went a long way. One container lasted me over a month. And I have a lot to style. This new formula is complete and utter garbage. It made my hair a greasy and disgusting mess. I looked and felt like crap all day. My hair didn't look full and the matte finish was gone. It looked like I was thinning. I am so disappointed, I have no desire to even go through the process of returning it. I'm just throwing it in the trash where it belongs. I will continue to use the original formula until I can not order it anymore. In the meantime, I have to look for a new hair product once again.
