We mostly use this for grilled sandwiches, and I love how easy it is to use. Cleanup is a breeze, everything, even melted cheese, wipes right off the nonstick surface. It's light weight and stores easily, the timer works well indicating food readiness and . It’s designed simple enough that my 10 and 8-year-olds can make their own grilled cheese with minimal supervision. I gave it 4 stars because the sandwiches come out pretty flat and needs to be cut with a knife, but they still taste great.

Perfect and easy for my use

Makes great sandwiches but very messy. Bread is usually too big even when using smaller loaf size. Cheese oozes out of sides and back.

This product is being sold with misleading information. The product height is 2.5 inch (6.35 cm), but the manufacturer has stated 8.5 cm. The plate height is only 0.5 inch (1.27 cm), which makes it totally unsuitable for making pocket sandwiches with filling. I bought the sandwich maker as a replacement for my Koblenz sandwich maker that I had purchased from Amazon four years back. My Koblenz sandwich maker's thermostat packed up and I couldn't fix it, therefore I had to buy another sandwich maker. I've now ordered a Hamilton Beach sandwich maker from Amazon that has a floating lid and a height of 10.41 cm. I'm hoping that it will be good.
