Great quality
Excellent product works great stabilizes my truck perfectly. makes steering stiff and cuts out the play in my wheel 100%. Made tough so easy to install. And looks great!

Better than expected
Honestly a night and day difference, itโs a good quick fix to failing pitman and idler arms. No steering slop over bumps, still have play in the wheel but overall much tighter. 95 Tahoe k1500. Somewhat easy install, instructions kind of suck. Better off looking up video for your vehicle and go from there took me about an hour, sprayed the brackets black and clear coated for rust prevention.

Highly Recommended !
Best money ever spent ! 05 Tahoe drives nice and stable now no more veering off to one side when hitting potholes bumps in the road, Install is very easy you just need some step drill bits to enlarge the one hole thats there and drill a new hole for the bigger bolt

WORKS GREAT! (but missing sticker)
My worn steering in my 25 year old van developed a wobble.. THIS FIXED IT PERFECTLY! It does EXACTLY what it is designed to do. For those who posted bad reviews claiming their product was defective because it didn't expand have NO clue how a steering shock works. It's a steering dampener.. there is no pressure inside pushing outward. If this were true, it would push your steering the same direction.. lol This does appear to be a Chinese product (plain brown box, no markings on shock).. but works fine none the less. The brackets are very stout, and it comes with two different sized u-bolts. I custom fit it to my 4x4 van. I dinged it one star because I didn't get the Rough Country sticker.

my honest review for my 1998 Chevy suburban k1500
One of my friends mentioned buying this for my old Chevy truck. telling me it would help with my tightness in my steering. And most importantly bump steer which is very common on the older Chevys. needless to say, it nearly drives completely like a different and newer truck now. I'm getting very little to know bump steer which is when the steering wheel jerks back and forth when you go over dips and bumps. it's also tighter in the steering wheel which these are famous for loose steering. it does help some with that. most importantly on the highway it keeps the vehicle much straighter at higher speed without wandering as much. rough country. this is the second time you have earned my respect for quality. it also feels like it's durable enough to last a long time

Good part
High quality and easy to install. Helped out my steering tremendously. Smooth turning and no more drifting off to the right .

Look Elsewhere
I ordered this because there aren't many options for my old Suburban. I should have known better than buying Rough Country. The bracket that bolts on with the U bolts isn't bent correctly. Also the shock is just a generic made in China grey shock. Not as pictured. I should have listened to the bad reviews. They are similar. I will be returning it.

Easy install
I have a 1992 GMC K1500 Z71 and this was an easy install. First couple of rides, I can feel the difference. No drilling required for my truck. I looked up videos, and several suggested it was difficult to install and crappy instructions. I have to disagree. It's pretty straight forward if you are handy.

Does what it should
Complete kit, works well! I actually installed it on an AWD GMC Safari van with a lift (GM parts bin vehicles, it works!). Does what it should and helped the steering feel a ton better, especially with the bigger wheels etc.
