Pull Up Assist Band

These resistance bands are fantastic! I'm in my 50s, and I'm cost-conscious, so at-home products which fits the performance standards are important. At my age, I'm not looking for any workout involving weights, and these are the perfect alternative, some might say it's better! There are plenty of resistance in the four options, and depending on where you are, the bands will suit your strength. It has versatility and should last you a long time due to its great quality. And you get a bag to go with it! If you're committed to something new, this is your companion.

I recently tried out these resistance bands and was impressed by their durability—exactly what I was hoping for. That said, the thinnest band (the orange one) is surprisingly tough to stretch, which I actually appreciate since it means they’ll take a lot of force to break. These bands are excellent for assisted stretching and a variety of strengthening exercises. The only downside is that they’re a bit longer than expected, which can make certain movements, like clamshells (or other exercises that require a close grip), a bit awkward to perform.

I just want to put a few disclaimers for this item. I am rating this item a 4.5 but Amazon does not have half star reviews from individual reviewers. So the average overall from the reviewers reflect my review for this product. The resistance band works great and has some decent suspension. Please learn proper ways to use this product and how much tension you put on it. Clean this product with a bar of soap or hand washing soap. I would not use dish soap, bleach, or vinegar. You may be able to use baking soda as a cleaning product but I have yet to try it. Within time the resistance band will stretch more with less tension so expect it to rip. This happen to mine after 5 years. The resistance band might cause some discomfort on your hand when using it so proceed with caution.

I bought this set 13 months ago (FEB25) for my home gym. It was my first set of bands. Upon inspection, when stretched out by hand there were pervasive micro tears throughout the tensioned area. Not having anything to compare it to I figured it'd be fine but there was a noticeably larger tear starting on the corner cut of one band that clearly wasn't normal. I reached out the company directly and they replaced without question. 13 months later with weekly-to-monthly use on the blue band and almost no use on red band, they've both failed. Blue developed a tear while in use. I then replaced it with the red band and it tore immediately upon a test pull by hand. Filter the 1 star ratings - notice they're all verified purchases?

This is just like the ones I have used in Physical Therapy. It’s tight for sure, but will loosen up with use.
