This product is excitable after I got the battery size for the cheep remote battery required is 1 27A. product was easy to install and after figuring out how to change the entry code it is working very well. The product has a lot of plastic in it but after seeing more expensive locks with just as much plastic I have determined this product is a good buy.

Purchased this item in July/August 2020 and installed on my camper. Fast forward to April 2021 and the lock had only been used maybe 4 times. The keypad no longer works. The electric lock mechanism is not strong enough to open and close the deadbolt so the keypad entry is non functional. The battery door has come apart and fallen off. The handle is so weak that it almost cracks when closing the door. The keyed entry is almost non functional as the tumblers are so poor that the key will hardly turn in the lock. Do not waste your time with this item, spend the extra money and buy the real deal. Wish I would have. Now I have an expensive door handle that is ready to go in the trash.

I contacted the Seller with this info: The battery life (4 AA batteries) on one is acceptable at 90 days. Not great, acceptable. On the 2nd lock, I am on my fourth set of AA batteries since August 2019. Approx 21 days before the unit goes dead and the only method to open the door from the outside is a key. I requested to exchange the "defective" unit and the first attempt was a $15 credit. 2nd attempt with the enticement of me writing a positive review of the handling of the defective unit and the seller has up'd the credit to $25. I'll give them one more try at an exchange of a defective unit. If this review changes to a stellar review, you're know what happened on my third try. Two odd behaviors: 1) Resetting to factory default by pushing in the reset hole with a paper clip does NOT respond with an audible sound (unknown if actually reset) 2) Have attempted multiple HOLD 8 and press LOCK attempts / combinations and NEVER received an audible sound indicating the unit is ready to accept a new code. Solution: Don't expect, listen or wait wait on any kind of audible tone following the HOLD 8 and press LOCK sequence to enter programming mode. JUST, Hold 8, strke LOCK, enter default, 1234, LOCK, then NEW code 8899, LOCK, 8899 and LOCK and your done. Lock the door (key or by holding LOCK for 3 seconds) and to unlock, 8899 UNLOCK and Taa Daa!!

Happy with the product. Easy to install. Works very well. Like that I can use a code or a fob or a key. However, had a very hrad time finding a battery for the fob. It states a AAA but it was not that size. Had to go to a specific battry store to get the battery

Lock is made pretty nice and easy to install, but took and hour to come to the conclusion they didn't even have a Battery in the Remote - they should at least mention that in their description of the Item. And most places don't carry the A27 size Batteries. Auto Zone did thou. :)

I would have been better off buying a regular keyed lock. After I installed the lock and all connections were made I tried entering a code and it would not work and the battery size for the remote is a27 not AAA and it took a while for me to figure that out. Once I did get the battery for the remote and installed it I excitedly tried to program it to the lock like the instructions said and it didn't work .I tried to return this item and the seller refused but they did give me half my money back. I would have been better off spending $25. For a normal lock.

Replaced malfunctioning manual door latch that was all metal. This unit has some plastic but we've been using it every day for 2 months straight now. Good quality. Chinese instructions for programming are terrible though.

This device was fairly easy to install. There are a few reasons I gave it 2 stars. 1) we cannot seem to get the key fob connected. I tried multiple times, this may be due to the fact that the instructions are somewhat difficult to understand and seem like they were poorly translated to English. 2) we cannot change the lock code. Again, could be due to the instructions being difficult to understand from the way they are written. These were pretty big issues for me due to the fact that I purchased the device for a rental camper. The plan was to have a key fob in case a tenant managed to change the code on me. I also wanted changeable codes to ensure that I could change them in between tenants. As of now I am stuck with the factory code, and people can tell others the code or come back to the unit without permission, or Google the device to learn how to change it themselves an if they figure out how to do it then I have no working key fob to gain entry.

This item did not perform well at all. It’s plastic construction fell apart on installation, there was no battery for the remote, and programming of the combination never did work. Way too expensive for something that feel so cheap.

Works on its own opens and closes in the middle of the night

Cannot program. Missing FOB. Nobody will take ownership. People I bought from said it’s amazons problem. Amazon hasn’t answered.
