I wanted to love this statue because I think the person depicted in the statue is so pensive and dreamy; overall a really great accent to my bookshelf. However, the craftsmanship is just really poor quality, which is unfortunate. Perhaps I got a bad casting, but there are chunks out of the eyes.. there is a piece of plaster connecting the finger to the face that looks like it should have been sanded off. I just think the execution makes this piece look super cheap.Note: I do want to share that I disagree with the previous review who argued that the statue is making a rude symbol. I understand what the reviewer is referring to, however, I don't think that is the intent of this piece at all. I think the person in the statue is just lost in thought, and the two fingers are just resting on his/her/their face that way. Spread your two fingers apart slightly and rest it on your chin... it feels like a natural, pensive position rather than the other, vulgar gesture.

I ordered this because it is different and cool, mod. Its made well and looks great, But I just wish it was a little larger. Over all its nice. Would for sure recommend it to friends.
