Le débit est superbe (je visionne youtube avec peu d'interruptions). Je partage un disque dur USB commun (on est 3-4 postes à partager le service par wifi).Je n'ai pas essayé les nombreuses autres possibilités (VPN, impression...) par contre je peux bloquer le poste de mon fiston s'il va trop souvent sur le net...et toc.Le téléphone de la maison passe donc par cet appareil (ainsi que les SMS : un voyant clignote si on a reçu quelque chose)Pour le prix d'un abonnement Free mobile et celui de la machine, c'est une très bonne solution : une pièce maîtresse de la maison.Quelques points plus délicats :- le débit freemobile chute après 3Go mais ça n'est pas du fait de la machine (je change la puce SIM pour une autre à ce moment)- il est long à démarrer : plus d'une minute- les menus sont assez complexes à mon gout (je n'y connais pas grand chose)- je pense qu'une antenne externe est vraiment la bienvenue (attention au connecteur très petit et fragile)Après près d'un an d'utilisation et avoir comparé avec d'autres produits (moins bons ou plus chers) j'en reprends un autre pour notre appartement... fini le filaire. ### ⭐⭐ komplizierte Installation, gab nach einer Woche den Geist auf *by A***L on Reviewed in Germany on November 3, 2012* Ich habe den GlobeSurfer für den Dauereinsatz im Verein erworben. Gleich zu Beginn fiel mir die komplizierte Installation auf. Der Zugang über die Vodafone CallYa Karte musste komplett selbst konfiguriert werden. Unterstützung durch vorinstallierte gängige Systeme - Fehlanzeige. Nachdem ich nach etwa einer Stunde das Gerät zum Laufen gebracht habe lief es zunächst eine Woche in puncto Mobilfunkempfang störungsfrei.Aber auch in dieser Zeit gab es erhebliche Probleme mit dem USB-Port. Der Drucker funktionierte zu keiner Zeit über USB. Erst als der Drücker als Netzwerkdrucker über Netzwerkkabel angeschlossen wurde stand er im Netzwerk zur Verfügung.Nach einer Woche gab das Gerät schließlich seinen Geist auf. Die SIM-Karte wurde nicht mehr erkannt, nichts ging mehr. Leider ein Fehlkauf. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ perfekter Ersatz für Easy-Box *by E***R on Reviewed in Germany on January 12, 2013* Da es an meinem Wohnort kein DSL gibt, nutze ich schon seit 4 Jahren das Vodafone Surf Sofort Paket UMTS only (Sprache & Daten). Dazu wird ja bekannterweise die Easy-Box geliefert. Jedoch hängst diese sich immer wieder auf (802 als auch 803). Trotz der negativen Rezesion eines Users zu genau meinem Problem habe ich mir den Option bestellt. Geliefert wurde innerhalb einer Woche. Das Gerät war perfekt verpackt. Also alles ausgepackt, SIM-Karte eingelegt und externe Antenne angeschlossen. Nach Anschluß des Netzteils startete die Box und der Schnellinstallationsassistent legte los. Die Konfiguration ist wirklich easy. Auf Anhieb funktionierte die UMTS-Verbindung mit HSDPA. Die Downloadraten liegen in etwa bei 300kb/s. Für mich reicht das, ersetzt es doch die DSL-Leitung. Auch die Telefonfunktion funktioniert hervorragend, sowohl eingehend als auch abgehend. Damit die eingehende Rufnummer am Festnetzapparat angezeigt wird, habe ich noch in den Telefoneinstellungen bei Anfufer-ID auf "ETSI FSK beim Klingeln" eingestellt. Nun klappt auch das. Über das eingebaute WLAN kann ich nichts sagen. Ich habe es abgeschaltet, da ich einen anderen Access-Point verwende. Es empfiehlt sich noch, unter den Systemeinstellungen den Datacounter zu aktivieren. Dabei kann man auswählen, wann der Counter wieder auf null gesetzt werden soll. Somit hat man immer den Überblick über das im Abrechnungszeitraum verwendete Freivolumen, den es ja bei UMTS nunmal gibt. Leider wird beim zurücksetzen auf null die aufgelaufene Datenmenge verworfen. Das ist ein kleiner Minuspunkt, der mich aber nicht weiter stört.So konfiguriert läuft das Gerät jetzt seit 4 Wochen ohne Unterbrechung. Es hat sich niemals aufgehangen oder musste resettet werden. Für mich der perfekte Ersatz für die genannte Easy-Box.
