I purchased this to use with my 7 year old for homeschool. I love the simple layout. There is plenty of room to write in events and draw or paste in pictures.

More than just a timeline
I already have a foldable timeline of science which is a handy resource. This book gives a lot more info. Turning the pages helps you physically remember where inventions are relative to one another---compared to just looking at a time line.

Great timeline book and excellent quality book, lasting through years or handling.
This a a BLANK time book. It is excellent. The pages are this. BC(E) pages are cream colored and AD (CE) pages are white. My son refers to this all the time when we are reading history books or a biographyetc. We have filled in with president stickers, invention, discovery cards and written many historical events.

Now this is my favorite timeline. . . . can be used in Student Directed Learning!
No guidelines here that tell teacher to tell students what is important to put on the timeline! Brilliant! In a group of students, they might decide to do this in groups. ..each taking a particular topic. . . or not. They might like to begin exploring what kids may come to call "the ologies" . . . how about a timeline of knowledge of biology, theology, paleontology. Of how about ideas: phikosophy, medicine. Or how about just a timeline about the visual arts? How about a timeline devoted to, yes, weaponry? or fashion and cosmetics? Who knows what they might want to find out about. I'd like one that looks at paper making, book crafting, and includes other means of "recording" and passing down a groups history and culture. Imagination has no limits. . . particularly when it comes to kids. . . and we should encourage their taking direction of their learning. This publication allows them to do just that.

Really a good book with a basic chronological Western centered timeline of art. While by no means comprehensive, it really is an excellent beginning up to 1994.

My wife read it through cover to cover and is now our resident scientific reference source for University Challenge and quizzes galore.
