So, we'll have to see if he loves his as much as I love mine. I've literally owned my Gurkee's for over 25 years! I absolutely LOVE them! I wear them all summer long. They are so comfortable and are like wearing no shoes at all. I personally hate anything between my toes, so these sandals are perfect for me. Sometimes I just toss them into the washing machine with jeans and then let them air dry. I'm not sure if your suppose to wash them in the machine, but mine have lasted this long.
