Great taste!
Sometimes the most rancid smelling things can taste like a thing of beauty... and that is this tea - stinky, buy yummy. Usually sleeping remedies don't work for me... and this one is no different - stinky and yummy, but no sleepie. Mixed with lemon and ginger it is devine!

Strong!
It's strong! It put me to sleep and made it hard to get up the next morning for work. After a couple days using it, my husband and I had headaches, so I'd say be careful with long term use, or let the teabag steep for a shorter time if you notice a headache after using. But it's great. Keep it in a plastic bag inside the tea box; even though the bags are wrapped, valerian stinks. If it doesn't stink, it's not fresh, so just know that the stink means it's good, fresh tea. I like to mix it with an Egyptian Licorice teabag, because the licorice is naturally sweet and improves the flavor of the valerian.

Excellent
Hanan Valerian Root Tea is excellent for relaxing before bed. It has a mild and pleasant flavor, and it really helps you fall asleep faster and sleep soundly. It's natural, easy to prepare, and I like to drink it as part of my nighttime routine. Highly recommended if you're looking for a tea that helps you relax and sleep better! 😴

Ineffective as sleep aid
Valerian root naturally smells bad - so what, if it works to bring natural sleep? Unfortunately, compared to other valerian teas I had, this one is so weak you might as well just drink hot water. I assume the manufacturer decided to reduce the valerian content to satisfy complainers. 2 of these teabags steeped for over 5 minutes resulted in no improvement. Waste of money if you're looking for a sleep aide.

The Leader Amoung Sleep Teas, costly but worth it.
Compared to the (4) brands of valerian root "sleep" teas I bought and tried Jan 2019, Valeriana stood alone in serveral ways beside it costsing much more per tea bag, or 50% more expensive. The brands all have the same number of tea bags, same flavor profile. However freshness, product prep, and quality were overtly different when making a side-by-side comparrison. Valeriana was the only brand with a date stamp, production date, sealed box, sealed bags, and more effort was taken for the end-user to have assured results. Unlike the other brands Tulsi Sleep and Nighty-Night, both had easily defeated safety seals, open seam boxes where moisture easily ruined some of the products, and no clear production or espiration dates. I found the other brands to be very sloppy and that offends me because the makers assume the end-user has poor or no taste, and does not care about quality or integrity. So of the four we bought and tested, even despite the high cost, I prefer Valeriana because they at least go to an effort to make a better product show they care more about their clientle. See pictures --- FYI all tea brand arrived in the same undamaged Amazon Box. The pictures indicate storage conditions and abuse. See for your self.

Relaxing herbal tea
Would recommend to use to sleep or wind down. As it makes you feel slightly sleepy. And also has a unique taste to it.

Brilliant sleep aid, best one I’ve tried
I’ve tried a few of these tea’s as I have trouble sleeping, and this is by far the best one! The taste isn’t very nice, however what I do I put a strong mint or piece of chewing gum in the bottom of the cup and pour boiling water over it, then add the tea bag a few minutes later and let it brew, it really does help a lot with the taste.

When are you gonna restock it?
Takes a while to get used to the taste and smell, BUT it really works!! It was the only thing helping me with my anxiety and now I can't find it anywhere :( please, restock it!!

Patchouli tea?
I've been enjoying different brands of valerian tea for over ten years and have found that the stronger the smell, the more potent the brew! Yes, valerian root naturally stinks but does make nice, calming tea :) This tea however, had an extremely powerful smell of Patchouli! It literally stunk the house out and after brewing up one of the teabags, the patchouli smell was so strong I coulodn't even taste the tea. I'm not sure if this batch got mixed up with another variety of tea or if it has been stored next to some very strong smelling patchouli oil or flowers. Either way it was undrinkable and had to be returned to the Post Office, which it quickly stunk out and raised several comments from customers waiting in the queue!
