Nice product for the price
This product is a bargain at the $29 I paid. Pros: 1. The remote is powered by camera itself. 2. The buttons have a fast zoom (press down hard) and slow zoom (press down lightly). The fast zoom doesn't over-zoom. Button sensitivity is just right. 3. There is an LED light that shows red when camera is recording and green when it is not. Very useful. 4. Works consistently. 5. Connection cable is long. 6. Comes with a clip to connect to attachments. Cons: Nothing major, but it will move around a bit when in the clip. I used a zip tie to make it sturdier. So far, I have used it for about 3 hours-worth of stop and start recording. No issues whatsoever.

Functional with Sony AX43A
I thought there was going to be a delay or that it wouldn't be entirely compatible with my camcorder, but I can pretty much use most of the functions besides the long exposure whenever I want to. I still slide it down just so that it'll take a picture faster because of the way my camera is, so I guess I'm still making use of all the parts. It fits right on my tripod arm and has plenty of extra cable, but the arm is kinda short so that gives me a chance to comfortably get a longer one like I had originally intended to. I wish that it didn't have the thing that lets it spin around because it kinda jiggles and makes it harder to reach the photo button while I'm moving the tripod. Might just switch the arm to the left and put the controller on the legs intead. I like that the grid button and the power button both actually work, and quickly too. So far, this might be the coolest cheap purchase I've made for my equipment.

Would recommend
Works very well with my Canon camera. Only thing not great is the clip to hold the remote is not very durable but works. Would recommend.

Better than Sony's Own!
And it's $20 less than the Sony RMVPR1. I'm a huge Sony fan, and it pains me to say this. The JJC is almost a carbon copy of the Sony wired remote control. The following features are the same: 1. No batteries required (unlike wireless options). 2. Controls all camera functions controlled by the Sony remote (including halfway-push of shutter button invoking autofocus) 3. Includes a clip for mounting the remote (e.g., to a tripod) 4. Similar size (very slightly larger) 5. Same quality feel The following are differences: 1. Camera power button is on the front. It works better for me than the side-located, spring-loaded, slide switch on the Sony. 2. It has a green light that indicates whether the camera is on or off (this will add a very slight drain on the camera's internal battery). 3. The removable clip rotates 360 degrees, while the Sony only rotates 90. 4. It adds a grid-line button that cycles through the camera's built-in grid-line display options. If you can use a wired remote, this is a great choice. Note, of course, that the W-T zoom control is only applicable to motorized lenses.

Didn't know this existed
Didn't know this existed and that it would work for my Sony Handycam HDR-CX405! So glad I made the search to found it. It's a very handy little plug in control with an attachment clip that have made my recording much much smoother in videography. The device is easy to use and can control zoom features smoothly. It completes my set up with a fluid head tripod. Once I have my camcorder turned on manually and the shutter opened, I can turn it on/off with the remote. My camcorder typically auto shuts off if left for some minutes of inactivity. I would have to close the view screen and open it again to turn it on, so this is a great feature and game changer. I'm not sure what other models it would fit but hopefully there are information out there to help others with different models.

Nice camera accessory
I bought this accessory for the camera we use at my church for video of the Sunday services. This attachment has worked very well to enhance the filming of our services.

Works Great, but Too Pricy For Wired Controller
It was 30 bucks for this small wired remote. The cord does not stretch fat & I only use it for filming, so just the pause and record button is useful for me. Shutter & other photography features are not for me. It's just very pricy for what it is..but it is convenient & works well once you get the hang of it.

Fast delivery by Amazon, packed well and protected!! The 2 stage zoom works as expected, zoom is smooth on slow and fast. The 2 stage shutter button can be some what tricky to get used to, but it functions as expected. For video works the remote is a must, set the Camcorder on a tripod and it is hands off from there, so camera shake is eliminated. The clip is a tad bit on the loose side, but I hold the remote 95% of the time so no big deal to me. Over all a great addition to my Camera bag!!!

My AX53 Sony Camcorder has a tiny power button and it's a hassle to turn on. With this remote I can turn on with ease and see if it's on from the green light. Also, there's no batteries!!! I'm very happy with this. Small and solid. Awesome.

I received my unit today in a very "smashed flat" box (product is not suitably packed for shipping purposes). However, the unit itself seemed to survive the "squeeze" and still works. I like the product, it works quite well except for the zoom to which I had some Q&A responses confirming that it performs the same as the zoom button on my Sony AX53 camera, (proportional/exponential, the further you press to faster the speed of the zoom). NO it does NOT! The zoom function is a two stage zoom speed. Soft press is slow zoom and hard press is fast zoom, and that's it! The slow zoom is acceptable put still obvious when it starts. Exponential zoom start (so that the viewer does not notice it immediately), is not possible.

We use the camera to stream our church service. Being able to zoom on the fly and to have a on/off switch other that just cluing the screen has made the camera much more versatile.
