I didnt do any research about cutting and coding the key. BMW wont touch these keys. I found a local locksmith to cut them $100 a key. I found a separate guy to code 1 of the keys, $200. Key lasted from May 2025 till April 2026. It wasnt dropped or abused, it just stopped starting the car. Do your do diligence. I couldnt find anyone who would program the second key, not sure it would be a good idea anyway.
