Beautiful Book
A great book! We are trying to visit as many parks as we possibly can and this is a great resource. The added bonus is the amazing photography, just wow! This would make a great gift for that traveling friend or family member.

A Great Guide - Inspiring Photography and Quite Informative
This excellent little guide is a overview of the United States plethora of national parks, state parks, historical sites and more (including beautiful Canada!) in an impressive and perfectly sized book. The many incredible photos and good amount of information will definitely inspire a trip to a bucket list location, or even a nice road trip as well. Very nice presentation with plenty to offer. This would also make an ideal gift.

This was a gift to my son that wants to start travels in the States, He is so difficult to buy for and returns most items. He was thrilled with this book! He had lists on his phone of locations but this far out ways his list as he stated!

Beautiful photos; makes a great gift
I purchased this in the paperback (non-spiral). It is a comfortable size and has beautiful photos! Makes a great gift. The kind of book you enjoy flipping through as you relax on the couch.

Great, but does not have every National Park
The book is wonderful with good descriptions, great photos, and hiking and activity ideas. But many National Parks are missing. I bought this for my son who was doing a National Park trip and there were no write ups for quite a few (Badlands, Indiana Dunes, others). In my opinion, a book advertising 1000 parks should, at a minimum, have a write up for each of the 63 National Parks (and maybe the 85 National Monuments).

this is full of wonderful information
My 9 yr old gson went to the Imax in Branson one day with summer school and watched a movie about national parks. He has been amazed by all the national parks so I got him this book. He loves it, and so do I. I kept it for a few days to read before I gave it to him. Get the spiral edition, it is so worth it. Enjoy
