Review: Must have in case of emergencies in the desert! - Saved me thousands of $$. These are a must have if driving off road at all in the desert. I got stuck in deep sand of a dry wash many miles from civilization in Arizona. I don’t even know if I could find a company willing to toe me out. I bought these a couple years ago to keep in the truck exactly for emergencies like this. I put one on and got unstuck immediately. One watch out is to take it off immediately after getting unstuck. I left mine on for about 2000 meters before the strap broke. Shame on me. The device served its purpose.
Review: Good Design. They Work. - My pickup truck was parked on a thick layer of ice in my yard, and it sank after a week or so of sun/thaw/pressure so that the wheels were sitting in nice little ice-cups. I tried chipping the ice out, using sand, boards, hay etc. I didn't have tire chains, but that was my last option. While searching for chains I found these. After reading some desertcart reviews I decided to give them a shot. At 1/2 the price of chains, they appealed to my penny pinching instincts. Given that I only needed them to get unstuck, doubly so. Putting these on was super easy. My truck has the custom wheels with the big star pattern with big gaps that are easy to reach through. I just threaded these around each of the rear rims/tires and strapped them tight. I fired up the truck, and within seconds I was out of my ice-cups and unstuck! These seem like they would work in most situations i've been in where I was stuck with tires spinning. When I was considering buying them, I was worried about the quality of construction, from the pictures the straps looked flimsy. Well, I was wrong! The straps are very heavy nylon webbing like you'd use for a tow-strap. The d-ring buckles are heavy duty as well, and these things are built tough. This was an excellent investment. Good design, Good performance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Design. They Work.

My pickup truck was parked on a thick layer of ice in my yard, and it sank after a week or so of sun/thaw/pressure so that the wheels were sitting in nice little ice-cups. I tried chipping the ice out, using sand, boards, hay etc. I didn't have tire chains, but that was my last option. While searching for chains I found these. After reading some Amazon reviews I decided to give them a shot. At 1/2 the price of chains, they appealed to my penny pinching instincts. Given that I only needed them to get unstuck, doubly so. Putting these on was super easy. My truck has the custom wheels with the big star pattern with big gaps that are easy to reach through. I just threaded these around each of the rear rims/tires and strapped them tight. I fired up the truck, and within seconds I was out of my ice-cups and unstuck! These seem like they would work in most situations i've been in where I was stuck with tires spinning. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got me unstuck, insanely difficult to remove, should include a screwdriver

Well, they got the job done, but it took me longer to get them off the truck than it did to get unstuck! Got myself nicely ensconced in mud, on an incline, in a 2x4 Suburban XL (with posi/Z71, so that helped). Strapped these on relatively quickly, perhaps too quickly for one wheel which shucked the Trac Grabber within a few seconds despite being on as tight as I could get it. Fortunately saw it happen before it got too wrapped around the brakes/axle. Reinstalled and then worked my way out of my mud pit. Impressed at how relatively easy it was, though it required some gentle throttle manipulation to prevent simply digging a deeper hole. Bought the two pack of large SUV grabbers, perfect for this application (you only need grabbers on wheels getting power, though I think another two on the front might have helped me given the incline). The hard part came when it was time to remove them. As others mentioned, the tension on the belts goes way up once you use them; they were causing the tires to bulge! This kit should really come with a large screwdriver to pry open the buckle, and instructions on how to do that. I may have destroyed one of the belts getting them off (screwdriver tore it up getting grip). Took about 30 minutes to remove them. So, 4 stars because they got me free, but no 5th star for lack of an included beefy screwdriver, or any screwdriver (I guess they assume you'll have a spare good one? And keep it with the grabbers?) , and for how long it took to remove them. Can't say I have a better idea for how to make these remain as functional as they are and easier to remove, but then again I'm not in the design business. Not sure whether they'll be good for more than one additional use, too, as they got torn up in the extrication-from-mud process, as well as just removing them from the truck. Still way cheaper than a tow (likely $500+ from where I was located, 100+ yards from a road), even if only able to use them once. Likely to give these as gifts, with a screwdriver added to the package.
