When I opened the Infinity mask, I thought I would be sending it back because it looked too stiff, the straps seemed sewn into the mask too high to hold it in place. After washing my face and trying it on, I was pleasantly surprised and decided I'd keep it. I must say this mask is pretty close to perfect and does the best (out of the many I've bought), of maintaining a total black out!! The straps are higher therefore do not rub the skin at the top of my ears. It basically has two padded cups for your eyes, so you can still open your eyes. It stays in place pretty well and is very comfortable. (Disclaimer: I have an adjustable TempurPedic bed so I sleep on my back, turning my head from side to side). I'm not sure how it would do as side sleeper or stomach sleeper. It's by far the best I've tried and I'll definitely purchase another one. Occasionally it seems hot over my eyes, but then at my age (58) everything seems hot from time to time!!
