Camco 44323 7/8" Thumb Operated Offset Cam Lock, Multicolor

This thumb lock fit very nicely into the door of the outside shower compartment of my 2022 Coleman travel trailer. It is very easy to install and fairly priced. It has a decent finish that works with my camper...it's better than the stubborn, crusty, zink-plated key lock that it replaced, for sure. I used the straight locking plate that came with this lock, not the bent one. Becuase the hole for the lock in my shower door occurs in a recessed pocket, I used one of those rubber gaskets that you find in the end of your garden hose as a shim (a black one). The shim I used is about 3/16 thick. Without this added shim, the thumb lock worked okay, but would scrape slightly on the outside of the door when turned and the door would move in and out a little bit when the door was closed and secured. With the added rubber hose gasket shim, the door closes and locks tightly and no longer scrapes on the exterior when turned. This will be very convenient for us.

I used this on my 2005 Audi Allroad to replace the plastic latch on the Triangle storage bin on the rear lift gate. Works great! Nice to have a metal latch instead of plastic. You do have to make the hole a bit bigger.

Bought the keyless knob to replace the corroded knob for our outdoor shower on our camper. It had two lengths which was cool, only problem was that the knob itself was too short and I didn’t realize this as I figured if the diameter was the same, it would fit just fine. I had to take a couple pliers and bend the locking tab to create a parallel offset which worked like a charm. A little annoying but money well spent.

I used this on my old gas pump's front and back covers.. fit purrfect, and should hold up to years of weather.

There's nothing wrong with this piece. It simply won't work for my application. It would be helpful if it had two shaft nuts, then I could use it. But it is too long to catch on the lip I want to secure it to.. I can always find another use for it. But I should have been more attentive to the size, depth, and what it comes with.

One of my compartments had a key lock on it, which was not necessary. I bought this to access the compartment without using a key. It’s simple as drilling a hole and installing the latch. Quality seems fine. Works as advertised.

Fits standard small key lock cutouts. The hole size required is 16mm (5/8") across the flats and 19mm (3/4")ø. Fitted in existing holes with just a small amount of filing out. Access now easier as I don't to find or fumble with keys.

Excellent replacement product for my trailer. Easy to install and great Camco quality.

I ordered the wrong length, I never even thought of that, my fault. I ordered 5/8 should have been 7/8.

Replaced a broken one.. Well made.. Would buy again!
