We have a cat on prescription food that’s expensive and of course our other cats love it. Bought this feeder so that only the intended cat can access that food. Works great; food door is activated from the transmitter on her collar. The food bowls are on a scale so you know how much food has been consumed and can track it on the app. I get alerts on my phone telling me how much she’s eaten. I have it set up for wet and dry food and it tells how much of each she eat. Would buy again. It’s a bit pricy, but worth for the price of her food.

I love that it works. It attaches well to the feeder and does what it’s intended and that’s keep the sneaky kitty out of the back. I hate that it’s needed and that it’s almost $40. Why in the world are the feeders not just made enclosed? What is the point in keeping the back open? It’s maddening but the feeders themselves are total game changers so you get all pissed off and continue to checkout. This gets 5 stars because it’s worth 5 stars. If I were rating the feeder itself it would get less because it shouldn’t be made to require this piece in the first place. Edit to add: Will not stop your fatty from sneaking next to your cat and eating with them… had to spend even MORE money on Etsy to get 3D printed cat head shaped attachments for the front of the feeders to allow only one cat at a time. Works like a charm. A million dollars later and this feeder is awesome.

We have 4 cats at home with varying ages and health concerns. At one point, my youngest was recovering from FIP and needed access to food constantly. My oldest would take the opportunity to graze on the excess food. She had gained some weight, and needed to be put on a prescription diet separate from the rest. These bowls have been a life saver in being able to monitor the amount of food they’re consuming in a day. She’s lost a bit over a pound in a year (monitored by a vet) thanks to these feeders.

I have two cats, one who is a grazer and the other eats everything in sight. It is hard to "police" feeding time. If I walked away, he would instantly start eating out of his sisters bowl. This feeder was the perfect solution and works well. Now the older cat can eat anytime she wants. I had to also buy the back piece to keep the other cat from eating from the other side. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I feel at the price point this feeder is, the back should come with it. Thats very disappointing. You would be better to package them together and raise the price then have people buy 2 items. Just not good marketing in my opinion.

We have one cat who loves to eat and is quite overweight so she is on a lower calorie diet and we have another cat who is tiny and who needs to gain weight & is on a higher fat diet so trying to keep their dry food separate from each other was pretty much impossible. We had our vet place a microchip into the back of our smaller cat's neck (it was a fast, & more importantly painless procedure for her) so the feeder reads the chip and only opens for her and although it took our cat longer then most to train her to eat from this feeder because she is extremely timid when she finally starting eating from this it was a huge win in our house, although the other cat who can't access the food might not think so lol

This is the greatest cat product I’ve ever purchased!! I purchased two because we have 2 cats, one is a little hoglet who will eat everything from two bowls, the other is a skinny scaredy cat that takes tiny meals several times a day, so both need different feeding schedules…tiresome. These feeders allow us to have both cats on their own feeding schedule. We just put a 1/4 cup of food in each feeder in the morning, and Voilà! One’s not eating every thing and getting fat, the other eats enough to keep fat on her bones on her bones. I highly recommend this product if you have two or more cats with different feeding needs and schedules.

I have 4 cats and a small dog (13lb) and needed to change how I fed them due to health needs and some food bullying. Liam, a senior cat with inflammatory bowel disease, needs steroids added to canned food, so his needed to be kept safe from the others. He took to the feeder instantly. No issues here. Sam, an adult cat with diabetes, can only have access to canned food. He took to the feeder within 1 week. Finn, a senior cat who only likes dry food. He is very skittish and afraid of life in general. It took about 2 weeks to get him comfortable with using the feeder, but now he is happy and I know he is finally getting his fair share every day. Noti is a super easy to feed adult cat. He took to the feeder instantly. Olli is a small dog who gets bullied by the cats in regards to his food. He is slower than the cats to trust the feeder, but he has only had his for a few days and I feel confident he will get the hang of it within a week. I bought 2 feeders and receive 3 as gifts from my wonderful family because otherwise this may not have been an option for me. The feeder is ridiculously expensive and then you get up charged for each piece. The feeders have a MAJOR design flaw with the back being open, so you have to spend another $20 and buy the back cover separately. It also brags about having 4 different color bowl sets, well those sets are at least another $25. Total cost to make these bowls work as advertised is actually closer to $200 per feeder. Insane for a product made completely of thin, cheap plastic. They do have a small motor noise when opening and closing, this is where the training comes in, but the animals all get comfortable with it within a few week. Summary: The good: This feeder works for what I need it to, restricting pesky pets to ensure everyone gets their own food and only their food. Can be color coded to make life easier at meal time. The bad: Takes a bit of training (about 2 weeks per pet) to get your animals comfortable with these feeders. Every piece of this product is made out of thin plastic, I see it only lasting a few years at most. You need to buy a back cover to make this bowl even work right as other pets can just go around back and join in while your pet eats. The ugly: This company doesn't care one bit about the animals it serves. It is all about getting every penny out of you they possibly can. I will change to another brand as soon as another company comes to market with a new option. I would only recommend these to people with pets with health issues as they are beyond expensive and cheaply made.

I shelled out so much money for this microchip feeder, only for my very stubborn cat to keep sticking his head through the back and continue to eat the other cat's food. This rear cover was absolutely necessary to prevent this. And it works well for that! My stubborn cat can't stick his head in the back while the other cat is eating. This system isn't foolproof, however. He still may try to stick his head in to squeeze in next to her while she's eating (because it's wide and I assume designed for fat cats) and if she leaves, he still might be able to grab a quick bite before it closes. But with this back cover, it does a much better job preventing him from eating most of her food.

Delivered faster from schedule , package was good and it works great . The cost is high but for a multi cat home this is a must , works smoothly . Its the original product as we had purchased before the same from the manufacturer .

Does what advises and blocks rear access. Doesn’t stop a greedy cat from accessing food from the front beside the main cat. Blocks airflow also. Easy to attach to feeder.
