Miken Pro Series Slowpitch Softball Glove, 13 inch, White/Red

As far as men's slow pitch softball, this is about as good of a glove you're going to get at this price point. Others to consider are the Rawlings R9 Slow Pitch (not fast pitch) and the SSK ZSLOW. All require a break in period, all have excellent quality leather, and all will be great gloves that last a very long time. What makes these slow pitch gloves fall under the "men's" gloves category is the hand opening is larger than the fast pitch softball gloves, which are designed for smaller hands (women), that's the only difference. Fast pitch gloves can also work great for men with medium to small hands. Also, if you're playing slow pitch you want a softball glove (not a hardball/baseball glove) because they have a deeper pocket designed for a 12" ball. I bought the Miken Pro 13.5" for outfield play. It's huge, and swallows up a 12" softball. I might exchange it for the 13". Slow pitch softball gloves generally come in five sizes. 12.5", 13", 13.5", 14" and 15". I think the 14" is overkill, and unless you're the Jolly Green Giant, the 15" is definitely overkill. My size suggestions by position. 12.5" - 2B, SS, 3B, 13" - OF, 3B, 1B, P, C (if you play infield and outfield use a 13") 13.5" - OF, 1B, P, C 14" - 1B, OF, but only if you strongly feel that bigger is better, which is not. 15" - If your only role on the team is batting practice pitcher who needs a glove that can hold 5 balls at a time while tossing BP. Can also be used to comfortably carry dogs up to 20 lbs, large cats and small farm animals.

Beautiful glove. I got the 15”. Very well made. Huge pocket. Much bigger than my 15” Rawlings renegade in all aspects. It took me a week of bending and pounding with several applications or Rawlings glove conditioner on the heel, hinges, palm and inside part of the palm and hinges where my hand goes to fully break it in. It came very stiff, just having catches with it will take months to break it in if you don’t to do what I did. It’s lighter than my 15” Worth Freedom. I will be playing my first game with it in 2 days. I’m sure it will perform as well as it looks and feels.

Great glove. Definitely oil it and break it in but worth the money.

I’ve been really happy with this glove so far. Didn’t take very long to break in, but also not as fast as claimed. Comfortable and you can tell it’s made well.

The leather is fantastic. It is as tight as both my daughters wilson A1000s, they took forever to break in. People, this is not a bad thing. If you want a glove ready to play, buy a cheapo and go play that day. If you want a good glove that is going to last for years, buy an awesome one like this and spend some time breaking it in. If you do, you can let your grandkids use it like my kids do dads old wilson that we ised in the 80s and 90s. This glove is great, I am very glad I chose it. This is definitely a $200 plus glove, priced for almost half that. Excellent job miken, I wanted an easton or wilson, but I'm glasld I chose you! Oh, the quick wrist strap is great too, pull the two to tighten and one on the other side to loosen.

It is a pretty solid glove for the money. Not an A2000 or HOH but nice leather and feels like it should last a while. Nicer than what i expected for sure.

This glove was easy to break in. I have been using it for the last 4 weeks about 3 times a week. I spent about 1 hour and rubbed it down with leather conditioner placed a ball in it and tied it up for it to sit for 2 days. Then started to use it as I said above. It will need to be tighten up a time or two as it is being used. I do wish that it had a slight bit more padding in the palm, however the pocket is absolutely amazing.

Light, nice padding ..good softball size for infield …took a solid month for break in …but great leather keeps shape..guys on team looking to get same
