**Q: my son got some as a gift but there was no instructions  . . . at what temp. and how long does it go in the oven?**
A: Bake sculpey at 250-275 degrees and for roughly 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your piece.  Something very thin will bake much more quickly, so be sure to check it often.  If you bake it at too high a temperature, or for too long, it will burn just like any baked good!  Hope this helps.  :)

**Q: Does this clay get hard?  Granddaughter wants to just make shapes and leave them out, plus bake as well.  But, she does not want the clay to get hard.**
A: No...not hard like when you bake them. But I did accidentally leave a chunk out for about a week and it got dry and incredibly brittle. It's the only thing that actually broke when I baked it. Not sure if that was because it was winter and very dry in the house or something else. Generally, I lay a bit of wax paper over anything I'm working on that will take more than one day.

**Q: What else do you need to do a complete project?**
A: I guess that 'need' depends on the person.  Truthfully, all you need is an oven as projects made with sculpey need to be baked for a few minutes to be made completely hard.  Of course there are a variety of things that you can buy to complement a sculpey purchase.  If you want, you can buy lots of different clay tools, and different types of finishes--glossy sealers, metallic paints, etc.  But with a hunk of sculpey, and an oven, you can create whole worlds if you'd like to.

**Q: Does this clay stand up to outdoor weather if baked? Aldo if I paint it using acrylic paint as suggested do I need to bake it again before glazing?**
A: I would not use this clay on an outdoor application without sealing it.  Suggest a few coats of polyurethane.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ IT WORKED GREAT!

Purchased this for a girls youth camp (AHG) art activity and it worked great! Easy to use, didn't mess up their hands, quick to cook and cool, no smell or dye left on their hands. They had their necklaces done in under 25 minutes. I used this with a group of 7 girls 4-6th grade and one 3rd grader, and a teen taught the station. We had them break off 2 "SMALL" piece of different colors and mix them a bit. Then using a large needle we poked a hole through the center of the small ball. I used stretchy string for the necklace as the group seems to be into choker necklaces currently. Later I formed a small cross with the clay, which also turned out really nice. So glad we did this!
