Excellent for Raw Dog Food
This bone powder is the perfect supplement to add to my dogs raw food. He is too small to digest bone like my larger breeds in the past. It dissolves easily into the mix and provide the perfect amount to bulk up his stool. Very effective.

Wow! This is a game changer
I use this to combat acid reflux. I wash it down with apple cider vinegar and it allowed me to discontinue with Prilosec. I could not be happier.

Good.
Kind of gritty, but daily use has stopped my bones from getting more porous. No cheap, heart-threatening calcium carbonate. Just bone, finely ground. Unique product, but the price is going through the roof.

KAL bone meal powder is an excellent source of calcium for your home-prepared dog meals.
I prepare a week's worth of my "Life Extension Puree" (15+ carefully selected vegetables, fruits and berries), a cup of which I add to their protein (beef, lamb, pork, chicken, liver, or sardines, et al) and carbohydrate (rice or pasta) for their twice-daily meals. It is necessary to supplement this food, once daily, with various vitamins and minerals and oils and salt. *Calcium* is key. After much research, I chose KAL Bone Meal Powder as the best source of calcium, adding a teaspoon daily. I thoroughly mix the KAL and other supplements in with their meal. No problems, and it's quite affordable. My girls gobble it down and lick their bowl clean. On the other hand, kibble kills, surely shortening lives by a few years at least, especially with large breeds. -- First, it has a ridiculously unnecessary and adverse omega 6/omega 3 ratio of 7/1 (required by the AAFCO standard -- this standard is based largely on a 1200-page German book that is based on little to no science). I used their standards for vitamins and minerals where it was based on science, and otherwise substituted my own (based on human standards, adjusted to dog dosages based on relative body volumes). I always erred on the side of less rather than more where too much (Vitamin D; Selenium; etc.) could be an issue. -- Second, and more important, the *dry heat* used to turn mush into kibble creates significant, *highly deleterious* amounts of Advanced Glycation End-products. Given that kibble is the primary source of a dog's food, this aspect is the equivalent of your eating charred, grill-broiled foods for your entire diet! Insane! The only available dog food that I would use if I didn't make my own is "Badlands Range". Their food is similar to mine, but it is air-dried (no heat, no AGEs), and their underlying science is excellent. But if you're going to make your own, I highly recommend KAL bone meal powder as your source of calcium.

Great product!!!
These have been amazing. I like to keep some around because of how much it helps when I have some bloating or upset stomach. I highly recommend this!

Good for dog food
My dog eats pre made raw food but he requires a higher bone % in his meal than what’s recommended or his poop will be too soft. I added a little bit of this into his food and in one day his poop is perfect! We’ve been using it for a week straight and it’s helped a lot. He doesn’t avoid the area we put it in so he must not mind the flavor. Highly recommend this for dogs who need their stool firmed up.

Avoid if sensitive to pepsin
I liked that these were a lower dose than a lot of other brands of Betain HCL but I did notice that pepsin in it caused some digestive discomfort. The tablets were easy to swallow and like a said a low enough dose that was easy to adjust if you were eating a bigger or smaller meal. If you are sensitive to pepsin though like I am it can exasperate your symptoms. I do t think it’s a brand issue just a personal ingredient sensitivity.
