Have you tried switching 2 motor leads?

Is there some p setting to enable rs communication over modbus? Or is it plug in, set the setting and should work?

I believe that P101 and 102 are involved, possibly also others such as P120 for specific functions.

I just purchased two of these GearFlag motor controls but the remote control speed dial does not change motor speed. Any suggestions?

You need to program the P code to enable the remote control.
