Very nice walnut. I was worried I might get some subpar knotted junk order Ing on line , I usually prefer to go to Rockler or Woodcraft to pick my lumber, so I was pleasantly surprised.

One of the corners of one of the boards was ever so slightly damaged in a way that makes it apparent that it was either sanded or planed too hard in one corner. Possible that the corner chipped and they sanded it smooth. Either way the corner is damaged. Still usable so no refunded needed or anything but I can't rate it 5 stars after waiting a long time in shipping for a damaged board. Otherwise beautiful wood with no knots.

I have received my second order from Barrington Hardwoods and they were both well above average quality. Walnut lumber is crazy expensive overall, but the cost per bd/ft here was better than competitors. I am expanding my kitchen which is walnut cabinetry so this is being used for the new drawer fronts and all the interface transitions. I used walnut veneer on the new large surfaces, and the end result is quite stunning. I prefer quarter sawn stock (straight grain lines) with minimal and balanced sapwood (sapwood can be awkwardly lighter in color) but the lumber I received was a nice usable compromise of cuts. The dimensions were accurate (maybe 1/32 shy on width but normal). No waste because of defects or twisting. Shipping was immediate on both orders so they arrived earlier than expected. No promotions here, just a recently retired guy who hates to get screwed by dishonest vendors. This one appears legit.

These 2 walnut boards are exactly what I need for my cabinet project. They have beautiful grain and will look great with a fine sanding and a couple of coats of oil stain. I'm happy.

I was very pleasantly surprised that these walnut pieces were absolutely perfect. The dimensions were exactly as ordered, and the faces were absolutely flat and parallel. Same with the edges. I could not have milled them better myself. No snipe. No knots. No blemishes. No complaints.

I had to use the jointer to get these even half way usable, taking off almost 20% of the material to get it flat. Worst cupping I have seen in such a short board.

Ordered a few times out of desperation. Price is a bit crazy but local shops where out.
