I went ahead and bought it anyway. Like others said, the scissors aren't really that great, but they did cut some. The product itself feels flimsy, but it held up to my rigorous winding of the yarn. Holding it together for the cutting was a different story though. The sides kept wanting to come open and I had to exert more force than I expected holding it together to cut the yarn. Just a warning for those who want a really FULL pompom, don't overwind, it won't close properly if you put too much yarn on the arm(s). Once you're done cutting and tying it together, really give it a good shake and trim as your pompom will kind of look oblong instead of round. Not a bad product really, you just have to be patient.
