Yet, for action films, few have the stature and build to keep up the pace of violence. There is indeed a lot of gore and violence in this revenge is the motive film. Far more gore than the rating of 15 suggests.The plot is simple. A drug lord kills Neeson's character, Coxman's son in a case of mistaken identity. Coxman then goes about killing each one of the gang until he reaches the head honcho, a wealthy man nicknamed, The Viking. There are good fringe stars such as Laura Dern who plays the wife who left him, and Viking's wife and son; as well as the rival drug gang's head, 'White Bull'.There is so much killing that the directors helpfully posts a death notice after every death. The only respite from the constant killing comes from the pair of Denver patrolman and woman who were trying to find out what was going on.
