Just not too sure about these...but they seem to work good.
Update: I cracked one of these open, and by gosh, they ARE wire wound. I upgraded my 4 star up to f5. Some of the concerns below are still in play, but the potential issue as to weather or not they are wire wound has been put to rest. Original Review: Not exactly sure what they actually are. I needed a fairly large number of Bourns 3590 multi turn pots. But they are very pricey, and if you need quite a few of them, it starts to add up. I checked to make sure they were functional, and they were. However, I also have some real Bourns 3590 pots, and they are not exactly the same, even though they look the same. The shaft on these pots offers resistance to turning, while the real Bourns pots rotate freely. Also, as you turn these pots, they feel smooth, where as the real Bourns pots will give a very slight sensation as the wiper rides over the wire wound element. Despite the claim, I have serous doubts about the claims that these are wire wound. These came from China, and so did others that I purchased from various sources. The funniest one had the name Bones on it rather than Bourns. And prices vary. I found one seller that was selling them for just a bit more than a dollar. All come from Asia, and are probably made in the same factory. I have no idea what kind of endurance they might have. I am strongly tempted to break one open to see what they really are. Still, I give them a 4-Star rating because they will do the job I want them to do. However, for more critical applications I will stick with real (and expensive) Bourns pots from authorized distributors.

Nifty little item
If you're looking for a basic potentiameter, this is a quality, small one. I like it, it works well. The only con that I could find is the fact that it doesn't have a dial that tells you what level it's on. If that's not something you require, then this is a good item.

Smooth Adjustment
I got two of these 10k, ten-turn potentiometers to upgrade my workbench DC power supply. The original voltage pot was scratchy and the current pot was only 3/4 turn. There was plenty of room inside the panel, but I did have to drill the mounting holes out a little bit. These pots worked out great. The adjustments are now even and without skips. The only snag was the knobs. They are 1 inch in diameter and the pots are an inch apart on my power supply. Since the knobs arenโt perfectly concentric, they rubbed and interfered with each other. I put one on a bit high on it shaft until I can find slightly smaller knobs or trim these down a tiny bit.

Good price for two multiturn pots with knobs
I've bought several of the Taiss 3590S potentiometers for various electronic projects. All are working smoothly, resistance ranges are as spec'd, knobs included are good quality, comfortable in my fingers, and fit the shaft well. I've had no problems soldering on wires and installing in project boxes. Very well made, good quality materials and for the price, getting two is worth it. I honestly can't think of any issues I've had with these. Anytime you can find these for under $10 a pair it's worth stocking up the supply cabinet.

I wouldn't buy again
These seemed fine until I installed them and realized that the four that I bought were somehow all defective. I was trying to diagnose a problem with the project these were installed on, then got frustrated and left the project alone. Once I got back to the project and found that these potentiometers were not working properly, it was too late to return and I can't find how to contact the seller. Either there was a bad run of there or they are just cheap garbage. Either way I would steer clear and do not buy.

Nice
Decent ten turn. Using in old power supply. Great control. No dropouts.

Very good
I checked both units with meter and they both work great. I am using them as a variable resistor for mimicking thermistors and 5V ref signals for automotive application. These are good for regulating up to 1 watt of power. For power greater than a one watt resistor/voltage regulator, use a rheostat.
