It has a sticky backing. The prism has a magnet to hold it to the ring and thus to your phone. The prism is removable but the ring is not unless you release the glue. The benefit of the magnet is that the prism can be turned in any direction. **Q: Is it a prisim or mirror?** A: It's a mirror, and it's a piece of junk. Don't buy it. **Q: Does this work on an iPod?** A: Yes, it can works on an ipod. **Q: Will this fit an iPhone 7 plus?** A: Mine did not, I received two rings and they did not fit around my rear camera and they did not stick to the flat front either, so it is pretty much useless for me ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Save Your Money *by J***C on January 21, 2016* This product did not disappoint. Even before I ordered it, I thought I wouldn't like it. It was, however, worse than I thought it would be. The sticky stuff on the adapter rings doesn't hold very well, and the magnets are not strong enough. So, it can't be used. I gave it a try anyway, and in landscape mode the pictures are cut off sort of square. It's funny that they call it a "spy lens" because it protrudes out of the back of the camera just begging for attention. I bought it because I figured it might be funny. You can see a slight amount of shadow on the far edges of the horizontal view, but it is incredibly crisp. It does rotate and I can use it horizontally, which is what I need for my project. The images included only show it facing up. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good idea bad execution *by W***E on September 22, 2018* Ok so this lense is essentially a little periscope for your phone. It just changes the angle you hold the phone at to take a pic. There are two major issues. A. The only way to connect it is a small magnetic ring that is in layer in the part that goes up against the lens. My phone is not metal in that area so it does nothing. What I will probably do is use some removable 3m sticky mounting tape to attach a small washer around my lense. That way I can use the magnet to stick it on and off as I please. But this should have been included. B. the other issue is when attached to the lense on the back of the phone it takes upside down pics.
