how is is that some people got dodgy mirrors but others got good mirrors?

I can’t really answer that but I’m one of the people that got dodgy ones and I advise you to save your money. It’s basically just reflective thin stickers. I ordered the 24 pack of square ones and they were cut wonky, a few were bent and couldn’t be salvaged, a few didn’t stick and fell down, and they don’t even reflect well they’re wonky like mirrors at a funfair. really not worth the money spent

No, they should be applied to smooth and clean surfaces such as walls, doors, windows, closets, and so on.

Would these stick to wallpaper?

They probably would if it is smooth not if there are any bumps or raised pattern. They stick better on paint.
