Ultimate Strength Healthy Hip & Joint Chews, GlycoFlex Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Green-Lipped Mussel Joint Support Supplement for Dogs, Soothe Joint Discomfort, Bacon, 120 Count

I have a 10 year-old Beagle. The vet said he definitely has arthritis. He was crying most of the day from pain. His hind legs had the shakes. He could not jump into his usual spot on the couch. He could not get into the car without help. I carried him up and down the steps. Touching him cause him to yelp and cry. ALL DAY LONG. He would also wake me up in the middle of the night with random yelps and cries from pain. His walks slowed down drastically. He was no longer his crazy, hyper-energetic self. And he looked miserable. We were all miserable. The vet offered an $85 injection for pain that would have only lasted 24 hours. Not helpful. Then they wanted $299 for blood tests before giving him an RX for pain medication , which started at $130 and went up from there per month. Also not helpful. I love my dog, but i also have to eat. I opted for the Gallivant prescription, , which made him lose his appetite completely and vomit everywhere. I cut the dose in half and he still vomited constantly. So I started looking for supplements and settled on Vetriscience Glycoflex 3, extra strength Healthy Hip and Joint Chews. It has Perna, glucosamine. MSM, DMG, and antioxidants. I swear by antioxidants for my personal health, so i was happy to see these ingredients. I ordered these hip and joint supplements on June 14. I don’t think we got them overnight, but within a few days. I started him on them immediately. I paired this supplement with something called Pain Plus Extra Strength, which is a health supplement for dogs by VetClassics. It has yucca, MSM, Bowsella and Meadowsweet. Today is June 30 and my dog is doing SO MUCH BETTER! He doesn’t cry anymore with the slightest touch. He jumps into the car, he jumps into his special place on the couch all by himself. He is jumping around like he did before, like he’s his old self again. The crying stopped. I can give him a massage, which he loves. without him crying in pain. We can sleep at night! HE can sleep at night. We are no longer on constant alert and explaining to strangers why the dog is yelping in pain on his walks. The light is back in his eyes!! These supplements are a miracle!! My parents have a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog who is only around five years old. She started having extreme difficulty walking, getting up and down, using stairs, etc. The vet couldn't find anything wrong via X-rays except "mild inflammation." They gave my parents an NSAID for her, which gave her immediate and severe diarrhea. I bought this for them to try. They've been giving her two a day for around 2 1/2 weeks (not even the doubling up suggested starting dose) and she's so much improved!!! I couldn't believe how she's now able to run a little, easily get up and down, and navigate stairs. My parents had previously bought another brand of something like Cosequin which didn't help at all but this has been a miracle for her!! This may be more expensive but it definitely works!

We purchased the bacon flavored bits and our Great Dane loves them. She has been on them for several months now and has improved joint movements.

I waited to review until my boy has been on these for a few weeks. 1. He loves them 2. His mobility has improved a little bit in just a few weeks. He has hip dysplasia, so these help him to be able to jump on the couch and bed.

My Bristol girl is now 13. She had become very weak and wobbly in her hind legs all through the past year and I tried multiple highly rated joint supplements. Sometime in November of 2022, she started falling down as she was walking outside even though she has been on salmon and bone broth and various recommended supplements over the past year. I was not ready to give up on her. I just happened across the Glycoflex in a Facebook post. I did exactly what the package is telling me to do, she is 100 pounds so she is getting 2 and a half mornings and 2 and a half evenings for 4 to 6 weeks as recommended. (You slow it down after that). My goodness, in just 12 days there was SIGNIFICANT improvement in her hind legs, her alertness, her desire to go out. We are now on day 21 and she is like a younger dog again. I will not veer from this product at this point because this is the 8th I have tried!! We couldn't be more thrilled!

i hate the price. i have been using Glycoflex Plus for over 6 years on both of my dogs. i cannot say if it helps them or not but my dogs lick the product. the reason i have been using this product, is because a holistic vet had referred me to the product because it has high %'age of glucosamine of 1000mg/dose and a high %'age of MSM of 1000ms/dose. of course there are other products sold on the market, i.e. at Cost Co's product and another one that vets have referred me to use, name don't remember? these are all good products i know of. but my vet had informed me, if it works, don't change. as for my dogs, they like the product and have no complaints. i too had received a bag of Glycoflex Plus that was bone dry. i contacted Amazon and they had replaced my bag at no cost. my replacement was also dry, but dogs have teeth that can bit through anything. my current Glycoflex Plus are soft and my dogs eat them w/out problems. if Glycoflex Plus is hard, then break them up into little pieces. my dogs like the bacon and peanut butter flavors. i also get Vetri Science Mega Probiotic capsule for good GI motility, and decreased poop smell. it helps some. i can't speak for their hair for they are Keeshonds and have gorilla hair texture. i am more concern with GI motility and poop smell. i try to stay away from high doses of probiotics because it can upset their GI flora causing the runs or bad flora in their GI tract. hopes this helps.
