We do speeds of 15 - 20mph and it works fine. We've been in depths of 80ft and it works great, so it probably would work in deeper water but I am not sure. I would recommend this product. Hope this helps **Q: Is the functionality adversly impacted by higher speed** A: All sonar modules are affected by higher speed. Usually because of the turbulence around the prop when the the transducer is stern mounted.
