I have these auto-shipped every month (I should buy stock in their company after how many I've purchased. I get 4 x 1lb bags every month). The original chewies, they are addictive. I bought them originally for post surgical nausea. The ginger taste is snappy, warm/spicy, and so good. Chewy. CHEWY. Not soft and chewy like those "australian licorice" tabs. These are....chewy. Individually wrapped in little foil slips. Fresh, never sticky or gooey, they have a little bit of powder probably the tapioca starch, to keep them from sticking to the packet. The 1 lb bags I buy...are 1lb. If you ration yourself to 2-3 gingers per day, they last a month. I personally don't, therefore, I buy multiple bags. I just like them that much. The ginger settles my stomach immediately, if I'm nervous or tired or have had a bad day, I chew a couple of these and I feel BETTER. Not high calorie (45cal per piece). The size of the ginger is...maybe 2.5"? not tiny, but not so big that you can't just pop it in your mouth and chew for a few minutes. The quality has been top notch and consistent ever since I've started purchasing them, which has been about a year. They are not "sugary"--not by any stretch--the ginger overrides that sugar taste....you get a warm, snappy, spicy taste after the first few chews on a piece and that gingery goodness lasts long after your tab is gone. As I said, I have these on auto-ship...they're great for nausea or nervousness, but they're also just good to snack when you need a pick me up. That said. I am NOT a fan of any other flavor. I tried Orange and Lemon. They're too soft, they DO chew like the "australian licorice" tabs. The flavor is kind of strange as well--I personally purchased these FOR the ginger flavor. I didn't like the overt orange or lemon mixing in, it detracted from the enjoyment of the ginger flavor. So if you just don't like the flavor of ginger, these other types may be for you---if you also don't like CHEWY, these would be more up your street. I personally do not care for them. The quality is the same. The "extra strength" gingers are hard candies, not chewies. I didn't like them at all. Again, that's me. I purchase the original chewies in plain ginger flavor because they are chewy, strong, tasty and do the job I need them to do. Great buy, and I hope they never go out of business.

Absolutely great for nausea. Absolutely great nausea. I changed my medication and it was causing me severe nausea and these engines work instantly the only issue is they are really chewy. I mean like chewier than taffy. If you have any bad teeth, it will pull them teeth out. It does not taste too sweet they smell fine. Expect a little powder on them. I believe that’s to keep them from sticking to the paper.

Oh my god these are my FAVORITE. I can’t explain it but they just taste wonderful to me, slightly spicy and helps my stomach so much. I like the lemon ones a lot as well but these are my go to. I have gastro paresis and these (as well as 1.5g pickled ginger) after a meal really help speed up my stomach emptying. Life saver. I also can’t eat often so these have become my “I want something but I know I can’t actually eat” space holder.

THESE ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE GINGER CANDIES, BUT I must say that I LOVE all the GINGER CANDY by the Ginger People! I am WILD about these! They are HOT, until you keep eating them and then NONE Of their SUPER STRENGTH GINGER Candies are THAT Hot! Some are very soft, some are harder and All are CHEWY and Have the Most Wonderful GINGER Flavor! I LOVE these candies! They really are fabulous! I love the CHEW and I also Love that They Are Hot at first, but as they are COMPLETELY IRRESISTIBLE, you adjust to the heat and IT IS possible to eat one right after another and have the heat not even affect you. Wait a little time and they are HOT again! I have found that you can adjust to the HEAT in ALL the Ginger Candy Made by The Ginger People. I had a heart attack over one large package of SUPER HOT Ginger People Candy, I actually THOUGHT it was so HOT I would never be able to eat any, but I kept trying them and after I ate a few, they no longer were too hot to eat, so my experience is that you adjust to the heat & if you stop eating them, they can be too hot again! BUT this particular type is SO absolutely delicious, right from the very beginning, that you just keep wanting more and more despite being HOT! I love that they are all chewy, eventually. Some were immediately soft and chewy and Most were hard like a hard candy but without the glass-like smoothness, you bite them and they are hard enought that you feel no sticking feeling to your teeth but eventually even the hard ones became chewy, over time as you begin eating them! So, you get the best of both worlds, some soft & rather quickly you feel the stickiness as you bite at them and then they turn soft & chewy and the others like hard candy but eventually they soften & they, too, become chewy. But you experience both the hard and the soft candy I Love that they only have 10 Calories! How many candies have ONLY 10 calories? NOT too many! THESE ARE GOOD FOR YOU, TOO! Ginger has lots of benefits and thes have the Most ginger and the taste is the MOST delicious! I highly recommend these longer lasting chewy FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS GINGER CANDIES!! These are MY FAVORITE!!!

So much better than having to take medicine every day. This is great for digestion and the taste is wonderful and ginger is good for you so why wouldn’t you want it? It’s nice and chewy.

Love Gin Gins! They are so beneficial for people who experience digestive issues; usually one Gin Gin will do the trick. They taste amazing and work really well. I sometimes add one to my cup of tea to give it an extra boost. I always try to buy the bigger bag -- more Gin Gins and better price!

These are great! I have eaten the chews forever but these are less sweet, stronger ginger, and much safer for not pulling filling out!

Way to much sugar. The caramel is too sticky, it gets stuck in my teeth and its 20% of my allowed sugar. I like the ginger, but these are sweeter than crystalled ginger. Why?
