Are the handles replaceable?

Thank you for your question. We attempted to remove the handle on the floor model we have, and it wouldn't budge. You can however, use a handle cover on this.

Is this approved for airplanes ?

I folded my cane into my bag. Yet, you can place your cane on the conveyer belt. It goes through x rays and there is no problem.
