JR Products 12505 Red/White SPST Illuminated On/Off Switch

This switch was installed in less than 3 minutes. Can't tell difference with other OEM switches on the same panel.

I installed this switch to turn on and off my RV WiFi router which is inaccessible otherwise. Yes the rating on the side of the switch says it can handle 120VAC but that might just blow the LED. As you can see in the picture the LED lights when the switch is on.. a nice purdy blue.. Perhaps the other reviewers didn't know how to wire it up? There are only 2 markings on the side... (+) and (-).. the 3rd terminal is unmarked. You must connect +12V to the + terminal, ground/neg to the - terminal and the device's positive wire to the unmarked terminal. The ground/neg for the load/device must also be connected to negative.. I just crimped a spade connector with 2 wires.. one going to the RV negative and one going to the load negative.. slipped this onto the - terminal of the switch, then crimped a spade connector on the single positive wire to the RV positive 12V and a 3rd spade connector to the single positive lead of the load/device. I think it would be very helpful if they'd included a wiring diagram, but I figured it out through trial and error and a multimeter.

I have a Coachmen Freelander RV that has these switches for the water heater and water pump. I'm creating a new panel and wanted the same switches. These are rated to 10A and light up with 12V to make it easy to indicate when the switches are on.Love these switches, I bought one blue and one red to differentiate between the water pump and water heater.

So glad to find this switch. It was exactly the switch I needed to replace one that broke in my rv.

Cutting out the hole in the dash board for the install was a carpentry challenge. Needs to be square 9/16" x 1-1/8". Then when inserted the sides jam in place. As such, be sure to leave extra wire; so one can remove it in future and adjust wiring if maintenance needed. The lighted switch works, but is always on. I though it would come on, only when the switch was turned on. However, this works in my case, making it easy to find on a dark console - might be a problem for night operations, where I will have to cover it. Overall a quality product.

Installed fine. Fits correctly. Only issue is that it is not nearly as bright as my old ones. I used this switch to replace the Jack power switch on our camper. When the jacks are powered on they draw some current even when not being used. I wanted to be able to see they were on in case I forgot. At night it's easy to see but in the daytime I can't tell if the switch is illuminated even with the door closed and lights off less I look closely.

Matches my 2018 Keystone Hideout’s existing light switch bank perfectly. Very happy with it.
