I have some very sharp knives in my travel case. The plastic covers just don’t fit well. The leather ones will probably last since I don’t use these knives that often but I really wished the leather was a bit thicker. Hard to say how long they’ll last. I suppose they’ll last a long time because I’m careful putting them away. I’d recommend getting these over plastic.

These sheaths are stylish and gentle on knives but a sharpe knife will cut right through the stitching at the top so be careful not to poke through.

I actually ended up returning this product, because it did not work for my knife portfolio, but I wanted to leave a review due to the relatively good value-for-the-money that this product provides. Of course, they are not made of high-quality leather capable of being handed down for generations, but for the price, this is a pretty good product!

My chef's knife sliced straight through the cover on the side of the blade when gentle inserting the knife - almost sliicing my palm open! These should not be for sale. They are not leather and the synthetic material is not robust enouch to safely store a knife and fulfill it's purpose of allowing you to transport them safely.

My knife bag looks more professional with these blade covers, than my old plastic covers. Great protection for my blades.

Started to fall apart. If ur gonna make knife sheaths make them knife proof. These are not even though they look nice

I needed protection for my knife blades and my hands. These sheaths fit my knives perfectly, keep my hands safe from cuts, and look great!

Well, we needed the big ones since we don't have many knives with small blades. We've been keeping the kitchen knives in plastic sheaths (open on 3 sides) to protect the cutting edges but were finding the exposed top of the blades were collecting crud, and some of them were even getting a little rusty (the air must be more humid than I realize). Plus the plastic does eventually crack and fall apart. We have some really nice knives we paid a goodly amount for and would like to keep them in good shape so we are trying these leather sheaths. I just wish they'd sell just sheaths for larger blades (smaller ones are a waste) or sell these individually so we could pick what size we wanted to pay for. i'm hoping they also last for a long time.

FOR THE PRICE! These are pretty dang good. I get it the stitching is a little lame not as strong but you know what? YOU can fix that your self with multiple arts and crafty ways or good stitching thicker string etc. TWO this is 6 sheaths for i don't know 25 bucks thats really good considering a nice Japanese wood sheath is 40 plus and a cheap plastic one is 20 maybe a little less. Three this is very much like a faux leather so yes it's worded wrong but whatever you can't really expect much for the price. Take my advice like a grain of salt. I work in the industry and for what it is it works well, it keeps my expensive japanese knives dry and free from moister since the wood sheaths are much much more expensive. Use it as a means till you can buy the ones you really want.

Being a soft and tender synthetic fabrics (vinyl) on the outside, they are not resistant to sharp ends and being made in soft synthetic fabrics on the inside, the blades slide very easily and do not stay in the sleeves. These sleeves are completely unnecessary, can leave a false sense of protection and are even dangerous. Products for household use only and for people who do not move with their knives. The price could be good value for money but ultimately, it is very high for a synthetic product...
