CANECITY - a wonderful place
Full disclosure: I am a 28 year old, so my cane-alysis could potentially be useless for the majority of the cane-living set. I tore my ACL playing basketball and was forced to rely on walking aids. As every person in the world knows, crutches are the biggest drain on humanity this side of Nicholas Sparks. Yes, they might help my leg problem, but here's a new armpit problem for you to deal with while you're hobbled! Anyway, as soon as I could hobble around I purchased the stylish blue version of this cane for $10. What a steal. I don't know why the other colors are so much more expensive, by a factor of 1.5 to 2.5. In the Middle Ages, Blue was the most expensive dye, so I assumed that was still the case today. Other than getting odd looks for being a tall 28 year old (I feel like I'm missing some hyphens, is it 28-year-old or 28-year old?) with a cane, there is legitimately 0 downside to this device. The ladies f'ing love it. "Oh who's that hot guy with a cane?" Heard it more than once. The thing just screams vitality. It folds like a champ. To the reviewer who bragged that it takes less than 15 seconds to fold, you must have one arm or an incredible lack of dexterity because this thing takes no more than 5 seconds to be fully folded. The fake (I assume its fake) wood at the top adds a classy touch. And I am one classy mother f'er. Good weight, good grip, all the things youre looking for in a cane. This is my first cane (first-time caner, long-time jerk), and it might be my last. Do yourself a favor and step your game up a notch. That is all.

Attractive, sturdy, convenient
Every once in a while my left knee gives out. As I age, both knees often hurt quite a lot at times. I have been thinking about getting a folding cane for traveling, and after three days of aches and collapses recently, I ordered this. I have only used it around the house, but it certainly has helped with the pain and given my knees enough relief that I don't need to use it now. It is very lightweight, is ridiculously easy to assemble, comes in a very compact sleeve and the blue design is attractive. It doesn't make me feel tooooo old. It will be extremely useful when I am going through spells of my knee giving out. My collapsing, standing up and then collapsing again immediately has led some people to believe I have been drinking. The embarrassment WITHOUT the benefit of alcohol just seems unfair. And some day, I will probably have to speak to my doctor about my knees.

Two Stars
Ordered 2 pack, one works well, other tip bent then broke. NO enclosed papers, so couldnt return broken one.

Everyone knows Red Ones Go Faster!
Sturdy, reliable, and a lovely colour. I bought this cane after an unsatisfying experience with a much flimsier EZ2Care folding cane, so it was a relief to have something I can actually lean on with confidence as I walk. Adjusting the height is easy, and I find the handle very comfortable despite wrist issues - but then, I've been using Fritz-handled walking sticks for years. The warm reddish lacquer of the handle complements the red patterned shaft of the cane nicely - I've had a few people compliment it in little over a week of using it. Only two small things keep this from being a five-star review. Firstly, the colour is already starting to wear off in a few places - mostly in the sections where the segments join and rub together, but it's a sign of things to come. Secondly and more importantly, while the segments do have plastic inserts to reduce the wear on the elastic running through the cane, those plastic bits don't have rounded edges; they are themselves rather sharp, and on my cane they're actually rougher than the metal edges. I'm not sure they won't be more harm than help! I can only hope that Carex will correct that latter issue in future models. Still, it's a good, functional cane that does the job and looks good as it does.

Best cane ever... why didn't someone invent one sooner!
This was to replace the pink floral folding cane that has gone missing (a different color, just in case I ever find it again). While I was in rehab for knee replacement surgery, my husband hired a couple of cleaning women. Consequently, I can't find half my belongings now. I can tell you how much I have loved the pink one, though, which is, exactly, the same. When I used a regular cane, then sat down somewhere, there was not a great place to put it, and people kept tripping over it. With this portable one, you can fold it up and stick it in your purse. Also a great idea for those times you're not sure you're even going to need it. Warning, though: my grandchildren think they are toys! :) With all the folding and unfolding they've done, one has never broken! PS They're very attractive, too... not like the stodgy, old-fashioned ones.

Three Stars
Nice sturdy cane, but handle is not easy to hold onto and cannot be hung up.

Foldable cane
When you are as young as I am (over 60) and you have a slight need for a cane, this is the one to get. On days you don't need it, you can fold it up (foldable) and carry it around. But when you think a pain is about to come on and you will need it, just unfold it (takes less than 15 seconds)...and walla you are still in style and the nice part about it is that the color is not what you see everyday the handle is very stylish (not like everyday canes), and it goes with the wardrobe (ha, ha). You will love it.!!!

Very good basic cane
This is a very good basic cane. I needed a cane right away while I await surgery and this was delivered overnight, which I appreciate. For what it is, it's very good. I purchased this one and the HurryCane so I could try both of them. The HurryCane is the one I use most because it has a lot more give and it stands up on it's own. I use a cane mostly for helping to stand, get my balance and take my first few steps after sitting for long periods of time. I give the cane 5 stars because, for what it is, a basic, affordable cane, it's great. It's just not the most practical cane for me.
