Fabulous iron! Much better than my previous Black&Decker. It gets hot enough, even without using steam, at the linen setting to 're-press' lapels for professional white coats.

Believe it or not, the cord “can” wrap around the bottom of the iron. There is a little space and if you are slow and align the cord around, it is out of the way. Now, there is no way to keep it there, but, I found a way that works for me. I used a hair rubberband and put it over the plug and just twist it once and pulled the other end over the top end of the iron (the point). It is perfect now. The cord doesn’t fly everywhere. Oh, the iron—great purchase, light weight, functions well. If it is good for an hotel chain… it’s good enough! I do not iron a lot. It also can be used as a quick steamer. I always thought an iron had to be heavy to be good…and, this has convinced me otherwise.

This iron works great! it heats up fast, and the different steam functions seem to work great! my only complaint is that where the cord leaves the body of the iron is rather stiff, and could be more pliable. Otherwise, it's a great iron

Everything needed in a iron with a great price

My mother had this iron for about 15 or more years and when she died it came to me and I used it for about ten years and then I bumped the ironing board and it fell on the hard tile floor and the little coiled piece on the wire where it joins the back of the iron broke and the bottom kind of separated from the top but, it still worked. I used it for another 8 months then an ad came on the computer for one so like it and so reasonably priced I couldn't resist so now I have a brand new one all white , so pretty and even better than the old one. The water reservoir is clear where the other was a blue greenish so the water shows better and the handle glows red; I can see it from anywhere, the cord's white, the bottom is silver and the heat adjustment is easier to move. I saved the old one for sentimental reasons and because a lot of time new things are not made as well as old things were but, all in all I couldn't be happier with this replacement of a trusted old friend.

This does everything I need an iron to do at a good price. It stays hot. It's smooth. If I need more steam, the burst of steam works great. It's very lightweight and easy to use. There's no cord storage that I can find, but this is a minor inconvenience for me. People who iron a lot may want a bigger water tank or other features. But if you're like me and don't iron a lot of things at one time, this does the trick.

Used this both for ironing clothes (shirts, dresses, linen items) and also for my sewing business--worked very well across the board. I needed a new iron primarily for sewing business and couldn't find one that was lightweight, had a decent tip, was easy to maneuver for precision sewing and most important--one that could handle fusible interfacing ( other iron I purchased and returned took 3X longer to handle fusible interfacing and results were spotty). The Sunbeam handled it all well--I was able to iron interfacing without problem, press out seams well, press out doll clothes and also sharp precision sewing, such as darts and spliced pieces. I love that it is lightweight and so easy to handle--also it is not complicated with a bunch of controls and digital read-outs--just a straightforward iron. The vertical steam also worked well on yards of fabric --just hung them over the shower rod and steamed away the wrinkles so I could pin and cut. Happy sewing lady here!

**UPDATE: Just want to add that this iron didn’t even last 2 months, so much for that! Love this iron. Heats up quickly, and works really well - completely eliminates wrinkles in minimal passes. Great value.

This iron works great and is easy to use. It doesn't drip just like the Ad claims. And I love that because my old one dripped really bad at times. It also has a self-cleaning feature which I didn't realize when I ordered it, so I'm happy about that too. I can't say anything about how long it will last because I just got it and only use it once yet.

Su uso es muy sencillo , tiene autolimpieza , no se riega el agua a la hora de rociar , es bastante lijera , no es pesada y bastante práctica

I knocked one star off because I have found that, with time, the markings on the iron for steam settings and temperatures are all wearing away. It's a great iron otherwise.
