Very good step up device
Old people need this instead of flimsy 3 step deathtraps to reach the oil on the top shelf. It's just one step so don't plan on changing light bulbs or cleaning the gutters with it but when you just need a little reach to the top shelf, this is a quality, stable step up with strong hand rail for stability and moving it around without bending over. Easy to assemble.

Good sturdy step stool with a great tall handle to use for getting up.
I bought this step stool to use beside a toilet while my knee was stiff, so I could grab onto the top to push myself up a little. I saw one like it at my surgeon's office. So I wanted it more for the handle than the step. It's heavy, so if you are relatively weak, you might not like that. I have used it in my closet and it works well as a step stool too. One star off for using some sort of particle or chip board for the actual step. Wood still works, you know. If this particle board gets wet, it's all over.

It's exactly as advertised!!
Firstly I'd like to address the negative reviews. Some of the reviews show screws going through the base/foot stand area. This is an assembly error. There are 5 shorter screws that attach the base to the stand. Don't use the long screws they may go through if forced. The 4 long screws are for the handle to stand connection. Some reviews showed the handle wouldn't fit the base stand too attach, it wasn't wide enough. This is also an assembly error. As you can see in my photo's the stand is rectangular in shape. Be sure to put the pieces with the holes on the same end (short side) rather than the long side. I almost made that mistake simply not paying attention. This has been extremely helpful for my mother. Its very sturdy.. note the sturdiness comes from the balance of weight so standing on or stepping one foot on before pulling on the hand brace keeps you steady. Its an excellent and most helpful product. Great for many uses. Stepping to reach higher up. Getting into a higher vehicle where running boards still maybe too high. So many uses. I truly recommend this for hurt legs or feet cast users and older people that just need a little step up. Instructions are clear it's easy to assemble. If used for a vehicle it easily fits into the back floorboard.

Good Quality
Perfect for what I wanted. Required for my 92yr old mother inlaw to get in and out of the shower/bath. Also came in handy for my little grandson to stand at the basin and wash his hands and clean his teeth. I recommend this item.
