I am so so glad we got this. We had an issue where one side of the house we just bought was totally dark at night. I tried finding a place where I could tap into some power and install a light, however I didn't see anything easy. Searched Amazon and found this light. I installed it on a wall that gets direct sunlight all day. I chose the setting that leaves it off during the day, is dim from dusk to dawn, and goes super bright via the motion detector at night. I installed it around noon, and the first night it appeared to be fully charged. I checked it around 3:00 in the morning, and it was still working. I haven't checked it after that, but I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't still be working by dawn. It was so easy to install. I used a single masonry / stucco screw into the block wall on the side of our house. I left the head sticking out a little bit and popped the light right onto it. It is very secure and I see no reason that it would come off without being removed. It came with two small screws and anchors, but they would not have worked where I was installing the light. They would probably work fine on a different surface material. Pros: - No electricity needed (we live in super-sunny Las Vegas so I doubt charging will ever be a problem) - Easiest installation ever - Super easy to select or change settings - Both the dim and bright lights work excellently Cons: - The motion detector that changes the light from dim to bright does not seem to be very sensitive. I was about four feet away from it before it turned bright. This is not a big deal to us, but it might be an issue for somebody else.

I have been looking to get solar lighting for my back porch steps and I am so happy to have found this product. My steps are sunny all day and well suited to a solar lighting solution, But it had to be bright without irritating the next door neighbors. ( we love our neighbors) So I tried this brand and am very happy with the results. They worked with less than 8 hours of sun light on the first night. They respond well to motion and our Pom sets off the sensor as well. The light is bright and well directed downward so the neighbors won't mind. Installation was a breeze and I was able to do it with hand tools (2 screws for each light) I even used small pilot nails the first night so I could move them if needed and as it turns out my placement was perfect, so I pulled the nails and set the screws in just a few min. Easy as you please. Great units and I would suggest to friends or family if they were looking for a solar lighting solution. Louis

I like this little light that was simple to install because most of the time we enter the house from the back deck and this works perfectly to shine enough light on the door knob to unlock the door at night. It’s motion activated.

Edit: I loved this product but it stopped working in 3 1/2 months! There is no warranty and it’s sold through a third party. This should NOT be recommended by Amazon. I will not buy another solar light from Amazon - the first one (another brand) lasted a year and this one not even 3 months! Back to ACE hardware bc I need a store (and manufacturer)that will stand behind their product. This is what I thought of it before it conked out on me: This light is easy and clear and affordable. There are three settings and I chose #1 bc I wanted motion detector only. But you can choose that it be always on dim and get brighter when motion is detected, or always lit ( which I imagine uses the stored power up quicker. I live in an apt and there is a house across from me and I like that we are respectful of lights shining in each other’s spaces...the motion detector when I come home and unlock my door or leave is perfect. Be sure and look at the switch to set the mode you want in plenty of light bc the numbers for the settings are raised black on black. Highly recommended. They even checked in to ask how it was going for me. 👍

I bought this to shine on numbers on our house. We tested the brightness, it worked great, and the next day it wasn’t working. We brought it I. To try and figure out why it wasn’t working, and about 30 minutes later or came on. This happened several times. We now realize it comes on once the unit warms up. We live in illinois, and although the weathers been pretty mild for us, it seems to be too cold for this light. This little light would’ve worked perfectly for us, if it would work when it’s cold out.

I work night shift and because winter is upon us (The days are getting shorter) I get home when It's still dark outside. I can't see the keyhole to my front door. While my cell phone has a flashlight, I am trying to carry keys, phone, purse, and carry on bag I use at work with all my tools & supplies. I often stop at the 24-hr grocery store on my way home which also ads to packages in my hands. I just don't have the hands to carry everything, no less, a phone with a flashlight. Then my husband discovered this product and ordered it, not expecting much because we get very little direct sunlight on the front of the house. Were we wrong!! He easily attached this to our front door (No nails or tools required!). By that evening, we opened to door to test the sensitivity to motion. WOW!!!! The whole door lit up and it was bright!! He sent me a text message, "Wait until you come home from work. You're going to love this!" He was right!! I can see the key hole easily and never have to worry about fumbling in the dark ever again.

They are bright for sure but only 5 out of the 6 lights I bought worked and they do not last nearly as long on constant mode as advertised. Maybe 90 minutes tops and they claim 4-6 hours after a full day charge.

I was looking for a light to put in the middle of my carport so when I arrive, I'm greeted with a nice blast of welcoming light and so no one can sneak up on me when I'm parking. I found the solution with this light. It's a lot brighter than I expected and it seems to get a solid charge from the sun because I've it at 6am and it still works. I love that it has 3 different modes to choose from. I'm using the sensor mode right now so it stays off unless it senses motion. I assume that helps keep it charged longer, allowing it to work from dusk to dawn. Great little light - 5 stars!

Received the 2-pack, no instructions. No mounting hardware. And only one of the units works. Swapped the battery with the other, and still didn't work, so I was sent a defective unit.
