Review: Functional and Affordable - It was packaged within a bubble-wrap sleeve in a small box ,which was within a larger envelope lined with bubble-wrap, which was within a larger box with large packets of air cushions. These extra precautions ensured that all the components remained intact even after being shipped across multiple states, on the unit that I received at least. The packaging method may have been improved after previous reviews. The micrometers for all axes were functional, and appear to adjust smoothly in every direction. This is promising because this positioning stage is far, far more affordable than comparable stages with multi-axis capabilities at the same size scale from other suppliers. Moving forward I will be testing the resolution of the adjustments (looking for any play). (The following information is for the 90mm stage option) The only difference from the product photo is the pattern of the screw holes on the top of the stage. The photo shows holes along a circular path with a larger hole in the middle, when the actual holes are in a square grid pattern (9 holes total) and the center hole is the same threading as the perimeter holes. They are all M4x0.7, with 25mm spacing, and 5mm depth. On the bottom of the unit are two rows of 6 socket-head screws, the two rows are spaced 55mm apart from each other and the center of each hole is spaced 15mm from the next. The screws are M3 and require a 2.5mm hex key to remove, the screw length is 8mm and the hole depth is 10mm.
Review: Good but no instructions... - I completely disassembled to be able to access the 4 base plate screws until I discovered it wasn't nearly that complicated (see pics). Unit works great, nice and tight and smooth. Just make sure all the locking knobs are loose before you try to adjust or it won't move lol.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works, but has no instructions

The stage arrived intact with no bent parts and all controls working. The package did not include any instructions at all. There are 4 micrometer handles. These have a cross-hatched pattern where you grip. For each motion direction, there is also a motion lock control. These have a coarse linear grooving where you grip. It is necessary to loosen the motion lock control before the micrometer control moves the stage. For the rotary motion, there is an additional control perpendicular to the axis of the micrometer and motion lock controls. This has fine linear grooves to grip, and functions to disengage the micrometer from the rotary stage (to allow large manual rotation) or to engage the micrometer to make very fine rotation adjustments. This meets my needs for positioning macro photography items, and is much less expensive than more refined instruments from lab supply houses.
