The factory windscreen measures 10” from the center mounting screw to the top of the windscreen. At the highest setting it allow air to hit the top of my helmet ( I am 5’11” ) which gets tiresome after a long ride. I wanted to be able to raise it just a little more so that at it’s highest setting it would block the wind completely. This 12” windscreen works perfectly in that respect and allows me to lower it to its lowest setting and get a chest full of wind when it’s hot.
