Bachmann Trains - The Stallion Ready To Run Electric Train Set - N Scale

Nice set; I got it for the Norfolk Southern stallion engine! The cars are OK but whole set is shrunk! I use it on my upper tier elevated rail line where smaller looks larger; not sure whether to blame China or cheap and greedy American businessmen for the plummet in quality and value!

Still running, use every Christmas for under the tree.

I bought this Bachmann N scale set for my mom because she wanted a little train to go around a little Christmas. It ran great for a week then it started having issues. The track was clean and the engine wheels were clean. Then on Christmas Day the engine completely died. I returned the train and purchased a different one and the new one works ok. Honestly this is typical with Bachmann.

Easy to assemble and stayed on the track at all speeds. Perfect under my small Christmas tree.

Perfect! Put everything together in about five minutes and it ran great. Comes with everything as described and is a great starter train set. You can easily add on track pieces or rail cars as desired.

I purchased both Bachmann sets with f7 locomotives. They both looked great and ran great for a short while. I removed the body shell on both and tested both motors. I found both (lightweight) motors dead and not replaceable. Now I'm stuck with two f7s that look good but are a useless waste of money. If these motors are replaceable, I would like to know. But being a retired auto mechanic, we used to call cheap cars throw away cars because it would cost too much money to repair, and no parts available. This is the same thing, built too cheap to repair. So, if you want a cheaply made set for your child that will run as long as their attention span, then this set is for you. But, if your serious and want a strong f7 locomotive that runs and looks great and can pull more than 3 pieces of rolling stock, then buy the Kato model. More money but durable and worth it. You'll be happy.

A simply 5-star product. This is my first model train and it's a massive hit!!! Delivery was delayed by couple of days but it came in a perfect packaging. Seller "Benie Store" did a great job to import from US. Just a suggestion for India users, buy a step down transformer along with this.

This set is great bought it for the locomotive , track and caboose .The engine in this bachman set runs really well it's alot better than the old bachman from the 80s .The only concern a have is the set could of bin a little bit cheaper.This is a great starter set.

Very very fragile and flimsy. Better go for some more reliable and durable brands as suggested by other reviewers. Not at all recommended based on personal experience. The coupler linking the locomotive with the first carriage was broken in the pack itself. Since I didn't record the unpacking I could not document it. I had a difficult time finding an alternate solution to couple the locomotive with the rest of the train. Overall the quality is very flimsy. Better go for other brands like KATO

This train set is plastic with crappy metal micro wheels that cannot stay on the track. I followed the instructions and the train DID NOT WORK. I understand low prices for low quality but tis train set truly sucks. Do not buy. I sent mine back. While I was re-packing, the train wheels fell off? That was just 8 hours out of the package.
