The one I got from Amazon shredded with very little force. **Q: will this work on 2006 volkswagen passat** A: Not sure. I have a 2005 Golf and it did not fit mine. I finally gave up on trying to get a replacement and had my local VW repair place remove all the locking lugs for me (they did this for me for no charge). Turns out that one was already missing - it had been replaced with a non-locking lug nut for whatever reason. My lug removal key was not returned from a tire place, which is why I needed the replacement.
