Works well
Easily drilled through rebar in about 10 minutes. This was after struggling for 1.5 hours to drill through rebar with a standard carbide hammer drill bit.

Does The Job
I ordered this product as a last resort for a job that had 30 holes that hit rebar. We had been having bad luck with the two different core drills that we rented. This bit drilled through the rebar in all 30 holes faster than the core drill rigs that I had on site. When I saw how fast this bit was drilling through the rebar, I put away the core drills and used the rebar cutter exclusively. By the end of the 30 holes, the bit had lost a tooth, but it was still working. I would definitely order it again in the future. I'm sorry that I wasted money renting the core drill rigs and buying the bits - that's $100/day for the drill and $130 for each bit. This $65 bit did the job instead.

Expensive but works great
Trying to install my 2 post lift, I ran into a piece of rebar directly in the way of one of the mounting holes. After fighting with other bits for a while, I decided to just buy this thing. Worth it, this thing cut through the rebar in about 10 seconds. No problems.

Worked great until about the 10th hole
This is a great cutter for going into concrete with rebar. I was installing my car lift in my garage and was trying to drill with regular concrete bits, which didn't work well even in the concrete, but especially when I hit rebar. This Bosch bit worked very well - took about 5 minutes for each 6-7" deep hole until the 10th one when I hit rebar dead on. That last one ripped the teeth out of the tip and the bit was done. Bought a second one that went right thru the same piece of rebar.

Gets the job done!
After fighting to cut thru 1/2 inch rebar with the Diablo brand concrete/rebar 3/4 cutter, I purchased the Bosch 3/4 rebar cutter bit as a last resort. After about 30 seconds the bit successfully cut thru the rebar and allowed me to finish my job. Used with a Makita rotary hammer drill set on drill mode only! Thank you Bosch for a great product! Highly recommended!

Itโs a no for me
Dull. Didnโt work and was a waste of time and money.

One thing that we learned is that low RPM is best because when the bits over heat
Very inconsistent. One bit lasted for 17 cuts through, all the others have lasted for 2 cuts or less, one did not even make it for one cut. Not sure if it is the position of the rebar in the concrete or something else that makes it so inconsistent. One thing that we learned is that low RPM is best because when the bits over heat, the carbide tips start coming out. We go slow RPM with constant pressure and stop and blow out the particles every few minutes and blow on the bit to cool it off. We have drilled through 25 holes and gone through 8 bits. Unfortunately, this is the lowest priced and most readily available bit with others being twice the price. Plan on buying a lot of bits if you have many holes to drill

Cuts rebar effortlessly!
Cuts rebar very easily. So much better and effective compared to a Hilton cruciform CX

Does exactly what it's supposed to do
I bought this because I encountered rebar when drilling for concrete anchors to install a two post lift in my garage. I only needed it for two holes but it worked extremely well. It chewed right through the rebar and allowed for a nice clean hole.

Excellent, learned that a touch of cutting fluid ever 30 seconds on the tip makes a world of difference in cutting speed when going through rebar.

Slowly but surely
Bad luck that under a line of holes for some concrete anchors to attached bases for the posts for my gazebo, was rebar the entire length. Took a while but eventually using this bit I cut through the rebar at 8 different hole locations. It was my only hope and this tool came through for me.

works well with 1/2" rebar
Make sure to keep drill cutter head cooled, cutting head gets very hot very quickly, I keep a small container of water close by to cool bit, it doesn't cut as quickly if you leave your drill at drilling mode only, I use it with drill and hammer mode switched on,
